Grading systems in universities such as A+, A, A- , and etc and CGPA points system is not a good way to judge or rank a students' talent. Sometimes the score for assignments and projects given by the lecturers are not fair. It depends on each lecturer and if any students have a good relationship with a lecturer, that student will get some more score. In this case, the students those who scored low scores might be very talented students than those who scored high scores. So I'm telling again that university grading and CGPA system is not a good way to judge a students' talent.

The grading systems in Universities may not be "the best" they can be but they are better than anything else we have come up with and they certainly meet the standard of "good"

I am not completely sure what you are meaning when you say:

"Sometimes the score for assignments and projects given by the lecturers are not fair. It depends on each lecturer and if any students have a good relationship with a lecturer, that student will get some more score. In this case, the students those who scored low scores might be very talented students than those who scored high scores."

I take it that you are talking about professors and teachers being impartial toward students and grading papers fairly?

While I am sure that this is a problem, things are far better today than they have ever been. teachers have so much oversight that many feel it has become a burden. if enough students complain they will be investigated and fired if it is found that they have been playing favorites and being unfair to others.

People, even teachers, are prone to like certain people and not like certain people. a good teacher will be able to take this thought process out of their mind while they are grading assignments but it is inevitable that some will be unable to do so.

it is the nature of the beast.

I am basically saying that this is the best system there is so far. besides. a GPA or CGPA is just a scaled down percentage point system. how else are you going to quantify someone's grade without some sort of point system?

I suppose the major thing I am not understanding is that you seem to think there is a better way to handle these things. if so. could you please describe the system you are talking about? otherwise our current system is not only "good" it would in fact be "the best" since no others exist that surpass it.

thank you.

There are so many grammar and stylistic errors in that first post. Maybe academic debates aren't your thing :P
