No games don't present good because if you watch the news there are people that following things that they've seen in a game like a seven year old shot his parent because he saw it on a game and why would any one do that if it wasn't down to games
Debate Round No. 1

Non sequitur

Con states video games have negative impacts, but that is not the topic of this debate. Something can have positive attributes while having negative attributes as well. So even if video games do have negative attributes that does not negate the resolution. For con to win he must show that video gave have no positive benefits at all.

1) Positive benefits

Video games improve cognitive experience and improve problem solving capabilities. Video games help people react faster, have greater awareness , and even help people develops advanced problem solving capabilities.

all of the above are positive benefits ( )

resolution affirmed.

Valar_Dohaeris is arguing semantics. I was tempted to debate him on this topic, however, in my current experience with him, he does not actually make arguments for the topic, rather, he makes arguments based on semantics and technicalities. This is not debating, nor is his approach offering resolution. Rather he is grasping for straws and making inductive statements with specified form or defined purpose.

Of course it has positive benefits. EVERYTHING on earth has positive benefits. But on the same token, there are also negative effects of anything on earth. So essentially, Valar_Dohaeris is not arguing if there is a perfectly good reason to believe Video games have only positive benefits, he is only creating the debate because he believes he will win on the technicality that it is impossible to prove video games have zero negative benefits. This is deception at best and a waste of time at worst. I urge anyone who actually sees him posting debates to not engage with him unless there is a neutral topic which begs an actual amount of substantiated evidence.

Who won the debate:Vote Checkmark-
Reasons for voting decision: Pro's arguments were concise. He/she refuted Con's argument and then Pro went on to affirm the resolution with an argument of his/her own. Plus, Con never responded to this argument. A very clear win for Pro.
