VWs 1979 or older are SWAG

I accept.

Pro must convince me that VWs 1979 or older are curtains or stolen goods. I, as con, will argue that VWs, 1979 and older are in fact NOT curtains or stolen goods.

1. a curtain or piece of fabric fastened so as to hang in a drooping curve.
a decorative garland or chain of flowers, foliage, or fruit fastened so as to hang in a drooping curve.
plural noun: swags
"swags of holly and mistletoe"
a carved or painted representation of a swag of flowers, foliage, or fruit.
"fine plaster swags"
money or goods taken by a thief or burglar.
"their homes offer tempting swag for burglars"
Debate Round No. 1

I meant that VWs that are older that 1979 are greater than newer VWs not curtains.

VWs 1979 and older are better because you can find many websites, tech books, parts, and tips easier than lets say a water cooled 1986 Vanagon. The 1600cc, 1700cc, and 1800cc engines are also easier to repair and operate because they are mostly arid than the water cooled engines.

The Volkswagen Group is now the largest automaker in both its home country of Germany as well as all of Europe, and has edged out GW to be the second largest in the world! [1][2] They produce cars under a dozen brand names, including such legendary names as Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche - they even produce motorcycles badged as Ducati, they do not however, produce any curtains. [3]

The company produced cars used by the Nazi"s during WWII, as did other German auto companies like Mercedes-Benz. They did not however, steal swag or booty. [4]

Hey man

Volkswagens 1979 and older can include curtains.

Volkswagens 1979 and older are also tempting to steal because the ignitions are older and can be started without a key. There are also people all over the world that would pay any price to get a Volkswagen. They can also be very valuable if you put the time and money into it.

Pro made excellent points in his last round. He is absolutely correct that curtains CAN and ARE installed in many VW cars. That however still did not satisfy the question. "Volkswagens 1979 and older" are not now, and never have been exclusively "swag".

I thank pro for a good debate. Vote Con.

P.S. Friend in CA had one of these. Very nice (just not made of gingham)

Reasons for voting decision: Both had good conduct, S&G. Con used multiple sources, Pro only used one - although this was closer than it seems, because Pro sourced some pretty nice photos of old V-dubs. Con defined terms; Pro drafted a colloquial resolution at his peril
