This is a war debate. If you want to accept, please send me a PM. If you somehow find a way to accept this debate, you will automatically forfeit the complete 7 points. Tell me what country you will represent, what your WMD will be (refer to the below list), and tell me why I should choose you to be my opponent; give me a very good reason as to why you want to do this debate and why you would be a worthy opponent. I am Russia. Comment if you are interested. If you want to debate, message me.

There are some strict rules that apply:

1. When you accept the debate, state your country, and state the numbers of your armed forces (aircraft, men, ships, etc.). Use this source for military numbers ONLY, as it is the most reliable:

2. Each country's turn can range from about 3 days to 1 month long, so please take in consideration of how much you do in a turn, make it reasonable. (DO NOT try to win in one turn! Take into account that your opponent is also a living, thinking being that can adapt to a situation.)

3. Morale is a key factor in your armed forces' effectiveness.

4. You may produce more military forces (soldiers, ships, aircraft, tanks/humvees/cavalry), but it depends on your military budget, your country's population, and how industrialized your nation is.

5. You may choose to invade or defend.

6. The defender makes the first move.

7. If a nation's capital is destroyed/liberated, this does not necessarily mean that the war is won; the capital could be recaptured.

8. You can have ONLY ONE WMD. (Chooses WMD)

9. WMD is to be used as a last resort. It can only be used if there is an extreme threat to the nation or your army.

10. IF a WMD is to be used, you MUST fully describe the effects of its' use IN DETAIL. Every aspect of the WMD's effects MUST be correct and realistic. Any unrealistic detail in the effects will cause the use of the weapon and ALL of its' effects to become void, and there will be no "restocking" of the WMD. Once you use it, you used it, whether or not the effects are void.

11. Every aspect of the war must be realistic and must remain within the parameters established by the rules and the title. Any unrealistic action and actions deviating from the rules will cause the entire action to be void. Any further deviation after the first void action will result in a complete debate forfeiture.

12. At the beginning of the "war," you MUST specify what country you are, what WMD you will use (and describing the weapon using the below rules in the weapons' list), and you must show what the entirety of your armed forces is made of (soldier count, tanks, artillery, ships, aircraft, etc.).

13. Specify what your WMD is going to be. Specify ALL measurements of the WMD (yield, range, parts-per-million, altitude, longitude, latitude, etc).

14. You may choose ONE weapon from the following list of WMDs:

- Nuclear Weapon: No larger than a 50 kiloton yield. MUST specify type of detonation (underground/collapse, ground/shock, air burst/dust). MUST specify location of detonation (longitude, latitude, altitude. Also name country, province/state, and city of detonation).

- Chemical: Maximum 15 parts-per-million. Specify chemical type. Anthrax and all nerve agents ARE allowed, but only one can be used.

- Biological: Minimum parts-per-million of 15. Maximum initial infection of 1,000 people, but the infection may spread further.

- Radiological: Specify and describe the used radioactive material at the beginning of the war. MUST specify location of detonation (longitude, latitude, altitude. Also name country, province/state, and city of detonation).

- MOAB: Must be used in the unconventional manner. If a MOAB is detonated above ground and at altitude, it has the effects of a tactical nuclear weapon (thus classifying it as a WMD) without the radiation. MUST specify location of detonation (longitude, latitude, altitude. Also name country, province/state, and city of detonation).

15. No allies (NATO, UN, Muslim Brotherhood, or otherwise) under ANY circumstances. You CAN have military or diplomatic agreements and/or treaties with other nations. It is 'Nation vs. Nation' not 'Nation vs. Nation and religious radical group &etc.'

16. Religion is NOT a factor (Middle East Wars).

17. No economic sanctions from any other nation, but economic warfare is allowed.

18. Cyberwarfare is allowed.

19. No insults, cursing, or any inappropriate behavior.

20. No trolling.

21. If you fail to follow the rules once, you will be given a warning and your actions in that round will be void. Further disobedience of ANY of these rules WILL result in an immediate loss of the debate.

Chemical Weapon.

The start of the War:

After Russia got away with taking parts of Ukraine, they started to expand there borders to the south. The first victim was the small country of Georgia on Russia's south border. The Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan put Turkey on high alert for invasion. Then on February 28 2015 Russia declares war on Turkey. Since President Obama did not stop Russia in the first place, he refuses to get into the war. The UN only tells Russia not to do it, but Russia does not lesson because they know the UN won't do anything about it. It is the start of the Russian Turkish War.

Turkeys First Movies Before The War:

February 1:
We made an oil deal with Saudi Arabia so they would supply us with oil and we payed them.

February 5:
We movie three Corvettes, 10 Frigates, 6 subs, and 20 Coast Defense Craft up into the Black Sea. We lock down the water ways form the Black Sea to the Mediterranean. The rest of out naval force is protecting the south part of our boarders. We have subs out side of the Suez Chanel.

February 10:
We have a around the clock flight schedule where 1/3 of all our airfare in the air at once. We also put all 185,6300 of our reserved land forces into front line action. We set up a military draft to draft in 200,000 men in the next 3 months.

February 15:
We set up land defense all around the country. We have every bridge under guard. The majority of the men are in the North East corner guarding the new boarded between Russia and Turkey. The coast line has artillery all around it at all the points we think Russia will invade, mainly the ports.

February 28: The Russian Turkish War has begun.
Debate Round No. 1

I ask my opponent to post as late as possible; I will be gone this weekend.

Black Sea Navy

Russia also has ships in the Black Sea: 3 subs, 7 amphibs, 8 missile boats, 8 ASW vessels, and 8 mine-warfare vessels (also can be ASW).

The 3 subs and 8 ASW boats are anti-submarine vessels, and are extremely quiet; quiet enough to evade both surface ships and submarines.

The 7 amphibs are for landing troops.

The 8 mine-warfare vessels are anti-submarine mine vessels.

The 8 missile boats are also anti-submarine OR cruise missile launching-platforms.

Technically, I have 19 ASW boats to your 10 subs.

The War:
Russia,as it has already declared war on Turkey, will commence the attack.

March 3:
Russia recalls the Atlantic, Indian, and the Pacific fleets back to Murmansk. All vessels are loaded with full munitions and set back out to sea.

Russia makes a diplomatic agreement with Spain and Morocco which allows the fleet to move through the Strait of Gibraltar.

March 7:
The fleet reaches the Strait if Gibraltar and makes its way through it. By 14:00 Moscow, the fleet is in the Tyrrhenian Sea. There are 329 ships in this fleet, which greatly outnumbers that of Turkey. By 20:00 Moscow, the fleet is on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. The fleet stops, deploys 3 sonobouy arrays (2 active, 1 passive), and moves into a defensive formation. The 50 aircraft on the carrier, 30 MiG-35s and 20 Su-27s, are fueled, loaded, and ready for immediate action.

15,000,000 men are drafted into the infantry.

15,000 tanks, 3000 artillery, 2000 SPGs (mostly SAMs), 2000 MLRSs, and 15,000 AFVs are activated and loaded upon all 1143 merchants (not all at once, of course). 500 of the merchants have 2100 troops. 143 merchants carry 3-weeks worth of rations.

The merchants move in a race-track pattern across the Atlantic in 3 convoys; 2 convoys of 500, and 1 of 143 (rations).

Julius Fucik, a barge carrier, is loaded completely with barges, which in turn are completely loaded with men, vehicles, and other weapons.

All merchants, barges, and Julius Fucik have 3 SAMs on the deck to defend against aircraft.

While the fleet was in the Tyrrhenian Sea, 3 RORSAT (Rradar, Oocean, Rreconnaissance SATellite), 2 KH-12-type photo-imagery real-time satellites, and 2 "killer" satellites are launched into a geostationary orbit over Turkey. Immediately, the satellites gather and send data to the fleet, such as enemy ship positions and active airbases, plane movement, &etc.

Near Sevastopol, 5 dirt runways are made. 300 aircraft fly in at the new "airbase", are refueled, and are fully loaded with 2 Kelt missiles and 6 R-77/RVV-AE anti-aircraft missiles.

March 8:
At Anapa and Aeroport Gelendzhik airports outside of
Novorossiysk, all commercial aircraft traffic is shut down and 150 fighters land at each airport.

At Mezhdunarodnyy Aeroport in Sochi, commercial traffic is also shut down, and 200 attack aircraft land, are refueled, and fully loaded. Also, 3 Beriev A-100 AWACS-type aircraft land.

March 10:
The fleet in the Mediterranean has 60 subs, each with 8 Trident ballistic missiles. The missiles have anti-ship-and-building warheads, which can be a given coordinate location. The warhead on a Trident is also radar-seeking, which the missile can use to adjust its vector to its target (in this case, ships). The overhead satellites plot the positions of every single Turkish ship in the Med. In every sub, the contacts are established and verified, and are continually tracked on sonar. The contacts are then firmed up, and data (bearing, depth, &etc) is relayed to a Trident. The subs are given the "Go" order to launch.

There are 76 Turkish ships and 329 Russian ships in the Med. 60 of those are subs; 10 of those subs launch their 8 Tridents at designated and confirmed Turkish ship contacts. There are 80 missiles in orbit, moving toward the designated ship targets.

There is no effective way to kill ballistic missiles, much less the warheads. This is one of the reasons that Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) existed during the Cold War. Thus, the ships are defenseless. After an hour and a half in orbit and 5 minutes of falling and adjustment, the warheads hit. 80 warheads detonate over their designated targets in Turkish fleet. The 7 submarines are not hit by these warheads, as they are submerged, and the warheads are designed for surface vessels. The fleet moves farther into the Med.

At 21:37 local, the submarine picket detects the 7 Turkish subs near the Suez Canal. The Russian subs have 12 Shkval 2 torpedoes. 10 Russian Akula class subs move on the Turkish subs. The Russians fire a torpedo at their designated targets (3 subs shared a target with another sub). The Turks notice. 3 ships evade the first wave and return fire. 2 Russian subs fail to escape. One is able to surface and let 1/2 of its crew off before it sank, but the other is immediately a kill. The remaining 8 Russian subs fire 2 torpedoes each at the 3 Turkish ships. The Turks evade the first onslaught, but the second wave impacted before the subs could act; the Turkish navy in the Med is no longer.

When the subs launched their Tridents, all active and reserve troops are moved along the Immediate Threat Area (ITA) — the Russian coast along the Black Sea. 200 MLRSs, 500 artillery, 50 SAMs, and 150 AFVs also were activated and moved along the ITA.

The missile boats in the Black Sea launch their cruise missiles at the 10 frigates and the coast defense craft. There are 8 ships with 2 missiles each. The cruise missiles, much like the Trident, are assigned coordinates and launched, and are made more precise by a radar-guided warhead. The 16 missiles close on their targets. 2 frigates are able to shoot down the cruise missiles, and 1 is damaged by shrapnel, but the other 8 are hit and are no longer able to function (and are thus classified as a "mission kill"). The 6 targeted coast defense craft are sunk. There are now 3 corvettes, 2 frigates (one damaged), 6 subs, and 14 coast defense craft; or 25 vessels and only 2 (the frigates) are anti-air capable.

The 19 ASW vessels in the Black Sea then move and parallel to Sochi and begin active-sonar searches for the 6 subs. Sonar waves can travel up to 20 miles out, the all 6 subs are bound to be noticed (and are bound to know that they are being hunted, as low-frequency active sonar will reverberate throughout the hull). During the sonar scans, the surface ships are noticed and are assigned contacts based off of the signature received from the. 2 are the frigates, which have anti-sub capability. The frigates notice, and move toward the Russian subs. The subs go "ship-quiet"; no one can talk. The subs load 4 torpedoes and set them to launch. The frigates lost the sonar contact of the subs when they went quiet, but continued on to meet them.

The subs are able to track the frigates via passive sonar, and have a firing solution set for both frigates. The frigates "go-active" with their sonar, detect 2 of the subs, and launch torpedoes. One subs evades and fires all four torps; one is hit, but is able to fire 3 torps before death. The first 4 torpedoes impact the first frigate, and 2 of the latter wave hit the second frigate.

All that is left are the 14 coast defense craft, 3 corvettes, and the 6 subs, all of which the Russians have a sonar contact. The 3 corvettes are in range of the 2 Russian subs, which have since reloaded. Both subs fire 3 torps; 2 for each corvette. 2 corvettes dodge the first wave, but are hit by the second wave. The other corvette was hit both times.

As the frigates are engaged, the rest of the Russian ASW vessels move in toward the Turkish subs. There are 8 ASW vessels (pretty much frigates, except for the fact that they have ASW helicopters and and ASROC launcher). Since the Turkish subs are already targeted, the ASW vessels fire their ASROC torpedo launchers twice at each sub. all 6 subs evade the first wave, but the second wave was too close in for the ships to avoid. Both of the first-wave-evaders are able to "snort" - or reach the surface - and let some of the crew out before ultimately sinking.

There are now only 14 coastal defense craft left. All Russian ships reload and close on the coastal defense craft. With the coastal defense craft within radar and sonar range, all ships are able to fire their ASROC/torpedoes/cruise missiles at the remaining Turkish defense craft. 9 craft are defeated, 3 are damaged, and 2 are untouched. The damaged ones fire at the closest Russian missile vessel - and sink it. Another wave of ASROC/torpedoes/cruise missiles hits and kills the rest of the Turkish fleet in the Black Sea.

The fleet moves in and begins a naval bombardment along the coast of Mugla. The merchies and Julius Fucik (which has detached all barges) and the barges move in behind the fleet and activate their SAMs to protect against Turkish aircraft.

After the defeat of the Turkish Black Sea fleet, the 3 Beriev A-100 AWACS-type aircraft take off from Mezhdunarodnyy Aeroport in Sochi, and activate their radars.

10 minutes later, the rest of the aircraft at Anapa Airport, Aeroport Gelendzhik Airport, Mezhdunarodnyy Aeroport Airport, and the make-shift airport all take off with 2 PGMs, the 2 Kelt missiles, and the 6 6 R-77/RVV-AE missiles. The 800 Russian aircraft immediately begin engaging the part of the 300 Turkish aircraft in the area. The Russians launch their Kelt missiles - missiles that look like planes on radar - and of course the bait worked, and the Turkish planes launched their missiles. The harmless Kelts were shot down, and Turk planes were caught off guard; the Russians launched their 6 6 R-77/RVV-AE missiles, and killed most of the engaged planes. (Now, I know that not all of the Turk aircraft are in this area, so I know that I did not kill them all). The rest are "mopped up" by use of auto-cannon. The planes rush over North Eastern Turkey, and establish air superiority over the region.

75rangers forfeited this round.
Debate Round No. 2

There are no counter measures to take, as my opponent must be contemplating a massive and very-hard-to-make decision.

I forgot to say this in my previous round, so I will do so now: since the Russian fleet has control of the Med, the fleet closes all waterways to Turkey via the use of mines and patrol craft. Russia releases a statement making known the existence of the barrier, and claiming that the responsibility for any casualties resulting from an attempted crossing or otherwise will NOT be placed on Russia. The oil from Saudi Arabia will not be able to reach Turkey.
Continuing the War:

March 10, 2020 (continued)

The fleet (military, merchants, Julius Fucik) in the Med begins a naval bombardment (I will just call it shelling) up to 1/2 km. inland and begin moving north into the Aegean Sea.

The aircraft over the North-East sector of Turkey split. 550 aircraft move back over the Black Sea. At 21:00 local, all 550 aircraft begin conducting individual "sorties" over northern Turkey (bombing fuel and ammo dumps, factories, airfields, oil fields, troop placements, major road ways) up to 30 km. inland.

March 11, 2020 Sea of Marmara 2:44 local
The fleet has moved into the Sea of Marmara (which was fairly easy, having 50 aircraft as an escort and with 800 other aircraft to the North giving the Turkish air force a hard time). The fleet activates all SAMs and radars, broadcasting their positions to all aircraft, but better preparing the fleet for air action. The 50 carrier aircraft begin their own "sorties" in the surrounding area (especially over Istanbul). The fleet is still shelling the coast, but now it ranges from Sedd el Bahr to Istanbul. The shelling is "walked" 1 km. Inland over the course of 1-1/2 hours. The merchants (or merchies; carrying all the equipment and manpower stated in the previous round), amphibs (which carry 2000 troops each), Julius Fucik (which carries 1000 troops), and all the barges (which carry a total of 2 divisions of troops, 1 division of tanks, 3 batteries of artillery, and 15 SAMs) make landfall behind the shelling.

By 5:45 local, all troops, rations, and equipment are off-loaded; there are now 1,229,000 Russian troops and 15,000 tanks in Turkey (from Sedd el Bahr to Istanbul).

The merchies leave the Sea of Marmara to return to Russia for more troops and supplies.

The 50 aircraft return to the carrier, refuel and reload, and then establish air superiority over the invasion area (from Sedd el Bahr to Istanbul).

Over the course of the night, the 550 aircraft over North Turkey have severely hindered Turkey's ability to fight in the the north. There were still Turkish aircraft over Turkey, so there were engagements over the North. The result: Russia (with the superior technology) loses 24 aircraft, Turkey loses 57. The 550 are now 526.

Since the Turks' ability to fight in the north is hindered, air superiority is established over North Turkey.

After this, 50 fixed-wing aircraft land at Zonguldak, 30 at Kastamonu, 15 at Samsun, 10 at Samsun-Çarsamba, 100 at Trabzon, and 50 at Sabiha Gokcen International airports. There are now 1081 fully-armed Russian fixed-wing aircraft in Turkey.

By 9:57, at every serviceable airport in the North (there are 18 of them), 2 767s land. These 767s have 400 troops each. So, when the troops exit the plane, each airport has 800 troops guarding it. After the 2 767s at each airport depart, 2 more fully-loaded 767s land, again off-loading troops, and then the operation repeats. Three of these cycles occur ever hour; 2400 troops land at each airport every hour.

By 11:53, the initial invasion has captured the Original Invasion Area (OIA), which includes Istanbul. The Russians lost near 1000 men, as they met some resistance, but all of the Turkish troops in the OIA were killed.

With the capture of Istanbul (a major port) and the destruction of factories, roadways, &etc; Turkish morale decreases.

March 12, 2020 North Sector of Turkey 4:30 local
By now, there are 2,006,600 troops in Turkey: 777,600 troops in North Turkey; 1,229,000 troops in the OIA. 767s are still landing at the airports, and troops are moving out of the airports to take the cities.

At 5:33, the OIA troops push into Sakarya.

With 43,200 troops landing per hour, troops are allowed to move quickly throughout the North. Because of this, by 12:28 (there are now over 345,600 more troops; over 1,000,000 troops are in the North now), over 1/2 of Northern Turkey is controlled by Russia.

March 16, 2020 Captured Sector of Turkey 13:17 local
The merchies return to Turkey loaded with the same number of troops, supplies, and equipment as before (except for the tanks, there are only 398 left; there is more ammo instead). The Russian fleet rendezvous with the merchies 12 nautical miles south of Kriti, and then move East toward Kas.

At 17:48, the fleet shells the coast of Turkey from Sarigerme to Tekirova at 1-1/2 km. inland. At 22:30, after nearly 5 hours of shelling, the merchies, amphibs, Julius Fucik, and the barges land their troops, supplies, and equipment behind the shelling.

There are now over 3,581,200 Russian troops and 15,398 tanks in Turkey.

600 of the aircraft in the North begin moving South to aid the Southern Invasion (SI).

The troops in the South begin advancing north behind the "wall" of shelling, which is being "walked" further inland.

At 0:23 on March 17, the aircraft from the North are over the South. With more Russian fixed-wings in the air than the entire amount of Turkey's fixed-wings, the air battle over the South was hard but swift. Russia lost 78 aircraft, but the remaining Turkish fixed-wings were destroyed.

Russia now has air superiority over Turkey; the Russian troops can practically move freely through Turkey (despite the Turkish troops fighting intensely for their lives, of course).

March 17, 2020 Southern Conflict Area 10:03 local
Now that air superiority has been established, the aircraft with PGMs begin running sorties over the South, destroying roads, factories, military encampments and positions, &etc.

There are now 4,099,600 Russian troops and 15,398 tanks in Turkey. The entirety of Northern Turkey is Russia's, and the Southern Coast (up to about 1-1/2 km. inland) is also Russia's. Turkish morale is down, as many supply routes were destroyed, and there are now only very few ways of obtaining supplies. Several key ports were captured, hindering the ability of Turkey to import supplies. Turkey is officially under siege by Russia.

March 18 2020:
I gather up all my troops I have left and start to movie south. I would take the cities of D"rtyol/Hatay and Payas. By this my forces would perform a mini blitzkrieg and pound the cities with artillery first and then send in the tanks to surround the city. As the tanks are moving into action my foot soldiers would come into the city. The generals of the military are telling the soldiers to fight as savagely as they can and show no mercy, that is because the Russians won't show any mercy to us.

The fighting over the city last for 2 weeks:

April 1 2020:
After the fighting of the city we have lost most of our tanks and only have about 500 left and 400 artillery pieces left. We now only have 157,00 soldiers left. We start setting up ground to air defense and coastal defense again. The soldiers booby trap a radius of 25 miles from the coast.

April 1 2020:
The ground forces blow up any bridge the lead into the defective perimeter. Any narrow roads have soldiers there waiting to blow up a tank to make road blocks. Any open area is sighted and mapped for the artillery to blow up. The tanks our now used more for artillery. The tanks and people are all dug in around the city waiting. They are told not total any prisoners our become a prisoner them-selves. It is for the mother land.
Debate Round No. 3

There is nothing to counter; I will continue the war.

Continuing the War:

Whie the Battle of the Two Towns (as it has come to be known) commences, the rest of the forces move into Turkey and capture the rest of the country (except the 2 towns, of course) by March 29.

The remains of the Trukish army are in the Two Towns. The Russian forces are already surrounding the 2 towns (basically a siege) 1 km. from the defective perimeter, and the destruction of bridges and the establishment of roadblocks only further hinders the Turkish army.

April 2, 2020 Turkey 3:45 local
All of the satellites in orbit detect the Turkish troop movements (including the troops along the narrow roads), and relay the information to the Kremlin and the Commander of the Russian Forces in Turkey (CINC South).

CINC South orders all aircraft in the air with bombs/PGMs (about 450) to move on the city, saying "I do not care if you flatten the place and it is devoid of life afterwards; launch all you can!" From 4:07 to 5:12, all 450 aircraft release all munitions above the 2 towns.

All Russian aircraft are outfitted with bombs and PGMs, and are vectored toward the 2 towns. Over the next 3 days, all Russian aircaft in Turkey bomb the town. All the tanks arrived on the third day, and began firing upon the ruined towns.

April 7, 2020 Turkey 13:43 Day 5 of the Russian Push on the Two Towns
The area has been ravaged by bombarment and siege. The Russian engineering corps build bridges over the rivers. Tanks begin moving on the town; crossing the new bridges and avoiding the narrow roads.

The Russian tanks engage the remaining Turkish tanks. The battle is swift yet brutal; the Turks lose all their tanks, and the Russians lose 327 tanks. The tanks move on the town and penetrate the Turkish lines. Russian artillery and aircraft aid in the Final Push.

By 17:22, all of Turkey is under Russian capture.

Russia appeals to the Trukish government, asking for Turkey's terms of surrender.

Debate Round No. 4

The lack of a reply in Turkey's part to Russia's appeal of surrender leads Russia to invade the capital building in Ankara. Once the building is taken, Russian troops execute all Turkish diplomats and leader figures.

Continuing the War:

Turkey becomes an independent territory of Russia. Representatives are elected to represent (of course) Turkey in the Russian government.

OK, after contemplating what to do I have made my choice:

I have 2 people that want to be America (@War and @Jonny). Because of this, I will do a war debate after this one concludes, and will only consider them.

This leaves Switzerland, UK, and Turkey. Switzerland will be too easy. The UK is would be a good country to fight against, and so would is Turkey. I do not know as much about the UK military; I need to do a little more research. Therefore, I will go to war with Turkey.

Nobody: a person of no importance or authority

Seeing that I am a nobody on this website, my statement still stands: Nobody cares.

@21MolonLabe, you obviously do, or else you would not have taken the time to post that comment.

Who won the debate:Vote Checkmark-
Reasons for voting decision: Russia annexed the whole of Turkey and made it a Russian federal state. Pro's spelling and grammar were also much better than Con's. Con's constant forfeiture hands Con the definite loss.

Reasons for voting decision: Turkey didn't really stand much of a chance. To give credit where it's due, however, Con's first preparations were well organized, but simply didn't have enough raw numbers to stop the invasion.

Reasons for voting decision: Although, I don't think it would take Russia an actual 5 years to take over Turkey. Perhaps you could have been more aggressive in round 3.
