WE are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively! This is gonna be a fun one.
One of the reasons for philosophy is to find answers to the ultimate questions such as who we are, why we are here etc etc. In this way the bible could be taken as a philosophical resource.
So who are we?
We are one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. We are molecules and atoms vibrating at different frequencies in empty space but what is holds them together? consciousness. Consciousness is the key to everything. debate.

I like this one!
My position in this debate is that we are not all ONE consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, but that we are individuals who have completely separate identities and consciences.
This position is supported by one main argument:
If we all contributed to the same consciousness, our sense of awareness would be utterly confused.
Take debate.org for example. Here we see all sorts of unique ideas; we see those who truly believe Australia does not exist, for example, and others who are convinced the world is flat.
Simply, consciousness is our sense of awareness.
Therefore, the meshing of two people who have completely opposite life experiences into one "consciousness" would lead in an inevitable contradiction.
Because we are so psychologically different (I'd even go as far as arguing the "human condition" does not exist) it would be hard to concluded we all contribute to the same subjective consciousness.

Once again, if we were all the same consciousness, we would be utterly confused.

First time I heard anything about it was watching Babylon 5, very briefly touches on it.

"We are the universe made manifest, trying to figure itself out. ...sometimes the universe requires a change of perspective."

Reasons for voting decision: Pro says that Con won. So does Con. That convinces me. Conduct to Con for Pro's round forfeit.
