As you may know to the topics i chose U.S.A, North Korea, Russia, Ausralia, and Cuba.

The United states of America is the most powerfull force in the known world. We have the 4 main branches of the most powerfull and skilled fighters. The Army, Marines, Navy, and Air Force. And every consecutive branch that follows on each one. We have the superior fire power, missle defenses, aircraft fighters as well as marine based vehicles. And so on.

North Korea is widley known for their destructive and unpredictable behavior. As well as never signing the peace treaty since the 50s. "North Korea is the world's most militarized nation, with a total of 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel. It is a nuclear-weapons state and has an active space program." This states that the dictatorship in North Korea has active nuclear weapons, as well as an active space program.
http://en.wikipedia.org...

Russia. "It is one of the five recognized nuclear weapons states and possesses the largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction." Also one of the most powerful country on the face of the planet.
http://en.wikipedia.org....

Australia. "Australia's armed forces—the Australian Defence Force (ADF)—comprise the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), the Australian Army and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), in total numbering 80,561 personnel (including 55,068 regulars and 25,493 reservists)."
http://en.wikipedia.org...

Cuba. "Cuba devoted 9–13% of its GDP to military expenditures. Castro built up the second largest armed forces in Latin America; only Brazil's were larger. From 1975 until the late 1980s, Soviet military assistance enabled Cuba to upgrade its military capabilities. Since the loss of Soviet subsidies Cuba has scaled down the numbers of military personnel, from 235,000 in 1994 to about 60,000 in 2003."

Russia is not the most powerful country, America is.

You forget, they spent all their money on their military while they spend nothing on power plants, food, ect. they sometimes have to power off their electric because they cant afford it.

Now my turn.

Israel- Israel has the highest ratio of defense spending to GDP and as a percentage of the budget of all developed countries. The Israel Defense Forces consists of the Israeli Army, Israeli Air Force and Israeli Navy. It was founded during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War by consolidating paramilitary organizations—chiefly the Haganah—that preceded the establishment of the state. The IDF also draws upon the resources of the Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman), which works with the Mossad and Shabak. The Israel Defense Forces have been involved in several major wars and border conflicts in its short history, making it one of the most battle-trained armed forces in the world.
http://en.wikipedia.org...

U.K.- The British Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy are collectively known as the British Armed Forces and officially as Her Majesty's Armed Forces. The three forces are managed by the Ministry of Defence and controlled by the Defence Council, chaired by the Secretary of State for Defence. The British Armed Forces are among the largest and most technologically sophisticated armed forces in the world, and as of as of 2008 maintained over 20 military deployments around the globe. The British Armed Forces are charged with protecting the UK and its overseas territories, promoting the UK's global security interests and supporting international peacekeeping efforts. They are active and regular participants in NATO, including the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, as well as the Five Power Defence Arrangements, RIMPAC and other worldwide coalition operations.
http://en.wikipedia.org...

China- With 2.3 million active troops, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the largest standing military force in the world, commanded by the Central Military Commission (CMC). The PLA consists of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF), the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), and a strategic nuclear force, the Second Artillery Corps. The official announced budget of the PLA for 2009 was $70 billion. However, the United States government has claimed that China does not report its real level of military spending, which is allegedly much higher than the official budget. The Defense Intelligence Agency estimated that the real Chinese military budget for 2008 was between US$105 billion and US$150 billion. According to SIPRI, China's military expenditure in 2010 totalled US$114.3 billion (808 billion yuan), constituting the world's second-largest military budget. As a recognised nuclear weapons state, China is considered both a major regional military power and an emerging military superpower. As of August 2011, China's Second Artillery Corps is believed to maintain at least 195 nuclear missiles, including 75 ICBMs. Nonetheless, China is the only member of the UN Security Council to have relatively limited power projection capabilities. To offset this, it has begun developing power projection assets, such as aircraft carriers, and has established a network of foreign military relationships that has been compared to a string of pearls.

France- France's armed forces (Armes franaises), comprising the French Army (Arme de Terre), French Navy (Marine Nationale), and the French Air Force (Arme de l'Air), and the auxiliary paramilitary force, the National Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie nationale) is the thirteenth largest in the world. Individually, the Navy employs 42,550 professional sailors and 15,000 part-time reservists and has a displacement 307,000 tons making it the world's sixth biggest navy. The Army employs 123,100 regulars and 118,350 part-time reservists making it the fourth largest in NATO. The Air Force is the oldest and first professional air force in the worldand employs 57,400 regulars making it also the fourth largest in NATO. While administratively a part of the French armed forces, and therefore under the purview of the Ministry of Defence, the Gendarmerie is operationally attached to the Ministry of the Interior. The gendarmerie is a military police force which serves for the most part as a rural and general purpose police force. It encompasses the counter terrorist units of the Parachute Intervention Squadron of the National Gendarmerie (Escadron Parachutiste d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale) and the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale). One of the French intelligence units, the Directorate-General for External Security (Direction Gnrale de la Scurit Extrieure) reports to the Ministry of Defence. The other, the Central Directorate of Interior Intelligence (Direction Centrale du Renseignement Intrieur), reports directly to the Ministry of the Interior. There has been no national conscription since 1997. The president is the supreme commander of the French Armed Forces. France is a permanent member of the Security Council of the UN, and a recognised nuclear state since 1960. France has signed and ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and acceeded to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. France's annual military expenditure in 2010 was US$61.3 billion, or 2.5% of its GDP, making it the third biggest military spender in the world after China and the United States of America.
http://en.wikipedia.org...

Germany- As of May 2011 the Bundeswehr employs 188,000 professional soldiers, 31,000 18–25 year-old conscripts who serve for at least six months. The German government plans to reduce the number of soldiers to 170,000 professionals and up to 15,000 short-time volunteers (voluntary military service). Reservists are available to the Armed Forces and participate in defence exercises and deployments abroad, a new reserve concept of their future strength and functions was announced.

Okay then. To start Pro if your going to quote my arguments at least quote the entire thing you used to quote.

To start off on this friendly debate, I would like to thank my opponent for coming back.

"Russia is not the most powerful country, America is."

I never stated that Russia was more powerful than the US. I stated, "Russia. It is one of the five recognized nuclear weapons states and possesses the largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction." Also one of the most powerful country on the face of the planet."

If your going to make an accusation at least have your information correct please. I said that it was ONE OF THE most powerful. Not it was the most powerful.

"You forget, they spent all their money on their military while they spend nothing on power plants, food, ect. they sometimes have to power off their electric because they cant afford it."

Again my friend, wrong. No you forget, it is not the country that is itself poor. Just the people that have to suffer under Kim Jong Un. The ones in power are rich.

Now it is my turn to fight.

As stated before on the U.S.A. Not really much to be said except that everyone know that America is the best, of the best, of the best. None shall best us. "Terrorists can run, but they'll only die tired."

Back to North Korea, they (if they were) are our greatest ally, second to Russia. North Korea has great potential to strike without warning, let alone any signs of attack. They also exceed in brutality, not only among enemies but also anyone who desecrates any laws. Showing no compassion towards mercy.

Back to Russia. "The Russian military is divided into the Ground Forces, Navy, and Air Force. There are also three independent arms of service: Strategic Rocket Forces, Military Space Forces, and the Airborne Troops. In 2006, the military had 1.037 million personnel on active duty. It is mandatory for all male citizens aged 18€"27 to be drafted for a year of service in Armed Forces." Russia has also been known not to let anything go unpunished. From murder to pety theft, they will hunt you out until they find you.
http://en.wikipedia.org...

Back onto Australia. "In the 2010–11 budget, defence spending was A$25.7 billion, representing the 14th largest defence budget in the world but accounting for only 1.2 per cent of global military spending. Australia has been involved in UN and regional peacekeeping, disaster relief and armed conflict; it currently has deployed approximately 3,330 defence force personnel in varying capacities to 12 overseas operations in areas including East Timor, Solomon Islands and Afghanistan."
http://en.wikipedia.org...

To Cuba. "The Cuban government has been accused of numerous human rights abuses including torture, arbitrary imprisonment, unfair trials, and extrajudicial executions. The Human Rights Watch alleges that the government "represses nearly all forms of political dissent" and that "Cubans are systematically denied basic rights to free expression, association, assembly, privacy, movement, and due process of law".
http://en.wikipedia.org... Does sound like they know how to toy with their prey if they do it to their own.

Also ja, das ist mein Argument.
Ich jetzt berlasse es meinem Gegner zu sein Argument zu verlassen.
Viel Glck mein Freund. ^.=.^

Again my friend, wrong. No you forget, it is not the country that is itself poor. Just the people that have to suffer under Kim Jong Un. The ones in power are rich.

Yes they are, but they still have to have blackouts because of no money for electric.

U.S.A. is the best, but we do have our weaknesses. Just looking at the War on Terrorism, we had a ression because of our money being spent on the war. Plus, our national debt skyrocketed up. I don't think we could handle a World War the way we are now.

Russia has a huge army, with aging weapons and vehicles. It would take to long to mobilize that huge army at a huge price. Their economey wouldn't be able to handle the massive need for money and would collapse. This has been proven many times in other debates.

Austrlia will be a foramble opponent.

Cuba, Cuba, Cuba. The last Communist country on this side of the world. They may have the second largest army in South America, but its using aging systems. Their planes, weapons, and ships are USSR leftovers.
"Almost all of the ships of the Navy have been decommissioned and the three Koni class frigates were either expended as targets or sunk to build reefs. Cuba has constructed rolling platforms with Soviet P-15 Termit missile batteries taken from its warships and placed them near beaches where hostile amphibious assaults may occur. Most patrol boats are non-operational due to lack of fuel and spares."

Ok since today i feel like complete crap, i may be sick. I will see what i can do.

"U.S.A. is the best, but we do have our weaknesses. Just looking at the War on Terrorism, we had a ression because of our money being spent on the war. Plus, our national debt skyrocketed up. I don't think we could handle a World War the way we are now."

Yes we are in a bit of trouble now, but i can see how hard it is to debate against your own country. We will most likley be prepared for a war, considering how many civilians that have battle and survival stratagies for fallout. I.E. WW3. And besides that, we have never lost a war.

"Russia has a huge army, with aging weapons and vehicles. It would take to long to mobilize that huge army at a huge price. Their economey wouldn't be able to handle the massive need for money and would collapse. This has been proven many times in other debates."

In war, there is death. And it is inevitable. You will understand how much you can achieve with so little. Or how great or fearsome a man will fight once he has lost it all. You will soon understand that money is no object when the fall of man is staring at you through it's dead, cold, souless eyes.

"Austrlia will be a foramble opponent."

You know they will be ready for anything.

"Cuba, Cuba, Cuba.

And yet they still have a massive army and millitia dispite their size. They will be more of an annoyance than you will begin to expect.

Now for my argument.

U.S.A. will most likley come out on top for this one. After all we never lose. Can I get a battle shout?!

Russia is more than meets the eye. They may seem that they are poor but be surprised that they are about he same as us, just struggling a bit. But war is somethig that they will be prepared for at any time.

Australia will be ready for anything that you will throw at us.

And Cuba. With it's army and ruthless millitia will be sure to dominate or show up in the end to win the war.

As for my opponent, he has failed to mention Israel, the U.K., China, France, and Germany. All of his chosen countries in this WW3 part 1 debate. In doing so he has dropped all of them in his argument not giving them a leg to stand on. His arguments are now invalid, should have paid more attention Pro.

Thank you and if you love your country America, vote Con.

Arguments:
Con overemphasised the importance of N. Korea, Australia, and Cuba. Both Pro and Con failed to emphaisis how British, Israeli, and Russian SFs and intelligence are the best in the world (SAS, Mossad, Spetsnaz etc.) The Mossad and SAS are considered to be better trained than the SEALs and the Spetsnaz are on the same level as the SEALs. Pro also failed to show that N. Korean military is mostly poorly trained and equipped conscripts and they have no A.F. Also, both sides failed to bring into play geography. The fact China BORDERS N. Korea and is extremely close to Russia. China could easily defeat N. Korea as they have a superior military. Now on the other hand, Con failed to show how exactly Cuba could transport their own soldiers or even why they would ally with the United States (the Castros hate the USA and are infact allied with Iran.) Pro's countries are better rounded and geographically are closer a together, a plus for a group effort. I cannot give arguments as neither side fully showed why they were better......
