Hello. I don't think Hitler was a socialist. If anybody would like to have a debate about Hitler and whether he was a socialist, then they can accept this debate and attempt to prove that he was a socialist. Good luck!

Hello! Thank you for responding to my debate challenge! Here is why I believe that Hitler was not a socialist.

Hitler opposed both Marxism and Social Democracy, as he believed that they were both tools of the Jews. In Hitler's Nazi Germany, the means of production were controlled by private capitalist individuals, rather than by the workers, as they would be under socialism. Not only this, but workers' rights were repressed by the Nazi government. The right to strike was abolished. Also abolished was collective bargaining for wages, so workers' wages remained low, despite a large increase in national income (17%-26.6%). However, the profits of the business owners massively increased, showing that they benefited the most out of Hitler's government. It is for these reasons that I believe Hitler's "socialism" was nothing more than a deceitful political tactic used in order to gain support from the left, whilst holding himself right-wing views, a common tactic still used by some politicians today.
