Pro will show that, within the confines of Christianity, Luther had the authority and was justified in removing 7 books from the bible.

No, I myself am a Christian and I don't believe he was, one of his main pillars of Reformation was that all are equal under the faith so there is no need for Priests to interpret the Bible and that the Bible is the ultimate authority, so by 1)Changing the Bible he is claiming that he is interpreting it to meet his own teachings so he is already violating one of his own pillar and 2)How can a lower authority overrule a superior authority as he claims the Bible is. So that is two of his 3 main pillars of reformation that the violated, the Bible he changed had been the same for roughly 1,100 years give or take a few, you can't just change that, he had no justification nor authority in removing books from the Bible.

I believe that my opponent was confused as to the side of the he was suppoed to take.

From the title:

Pro will show that, within the confines of Christianity, Luther had the authority and was justified in removing 7 books from the bible.

If my oppoent would like to restart the debate, we can compress three effective rounds into 2. Otherwise, I will accept that Pro has failed to show that Martin Luther was Justified in removing 7 books from the bible.

I believe that Pro just posted my arguments for me.

Very well, what would you propose are more acceptable rules? I'm open to modifying them.

Your rules are terrible. 6000 word limit on a theological discussions, and your weird messed up system.
