Benedict XVI, Address to Protestants at World Youth Day, August 19, 2005: "And we now ask: What does it mean to restore the unity of all Christians?... this unity does not mean what could be called ecumenism of the return: that is, to deny and to reject one"s own faith history. Absolutely not!"

Benedict XVI, Principles of Catholic Theology (1982), p. 202: "It means that the Catholic does not insist on the dissolution of the Protestant confessions and the demolishing of their churches but hopes, rather, that they will be strengthened in their confessions and in their ecclesial reality."

Benedict XVI, Address to Anglican "Archbishop of Canterbury," Nov. 23, 2006: "It is our fervent hope that the Anglican Communion will remain grounded in the Gospels and the Apostolic Tradition which form our common patrimony" The world needs our witness" May the Lord continue to bless you and your family, and may he strengthen you in your ministry to the Anglican Communion!"

Benedict XVI, Theological Highlights of Vatican II, 1966, pages 61, 68: "" Meantime the Catholic Church has no right to absorb other Churches. " A basic unity " of Churches that remain Churches, yet become one Church " must replace the idea of conversion"

The thing with Benedict is that he made too many compromises to try to bring favor among himself from other people. He was indeed too much of the world than just in the world.

Now look at what the Bible and Pope Leo XIII teaches about other religions:

1 Cor. 10:20- "" the things which the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God."

Pope Leo XIII, Ad Extremas (#1), June 24, 1893: "" the blessed Apostle Thomas who is rightly called the founder of preaching the Gospel to the Hindus. Then, there is Francis Xavier" Through his extraordinary perseverance, he converted hundreds of thousands of Hindus from the myths and vile superstitions of the Brahmans to the true religion."

Benedict XVI is a complete apostate!

I think Pro can loose this debate only if the contender would try to argue that antipope Benedict XVI could not top antipope John Paul II in revolution and cinism. I would argue that it is almost impossible to surpass the devilish first "Assisi Meeting" in evil. There is just no words to describe this act of wholesale apostasy.

But yes, Benedict XVI also held his own Assisi meeting:
and surely is number one amongst antipopes at "wolf in sheep cloths" degree. The guy reached the point of being labelled a conservative even tough I probably can't count in one hand the dogmas that he didn't denied.

Benedict XVI was a complete apostate!
He calls schismatics by the titles of: your holiness, pastors in the Church, Bishop and even... pope!
The guy said that protestantism is not heresy, says baptism looses it's meaning if it's not performed on adults, was initiated in Islam and says that this religion of the devil binds us to the one God.

The guy even said this:
Benedict XVI, General Audience, Sept. 20, 2006:
"...my deep respect for the great religions, and especially the Muslims, who "worship God"""

Now wait a minute! He says the he has a SPECIAL respect for Islam because, according to him, they worship God (which is not true: they do not worship the Trinity). But if you look carefully he also says he respects other religions (even tough not a special respect) that, according to him DO NOT WORSHIP GOD, because what is special, acording to him, about Islam is that they worship God, he says.
Now, am lying to say that in this Audience of 2006 he is admiting that he respects the worship of devils? For if you do not worship God, who do you worship?

And if you doubt that this is what Benedict XVI is saying look at this:

Benedict XVI, Pilgrim Fellowship of Faith, 2002, p. 273: "" Islam, too, " has inherited from Israel and the Christians the same God""

Make this three rounds (or make the first round strictly for acceptance) and make the voting period a month or less and I will accept.
