In my personal opinion, the whole series led up to what was purely inevitable. Another one of those classic on and off sitcom relationships where sometimes they're dating, and sometimes they're not - but in the end, they end up together. Woooooo hoooo. Shocking. Pulse-enhancing. The other problem I have with this conclusion is that the whole premise of the show is how Ted met his children's mother, but in the end, you find that they ended up together but it isn't relevant to the finale. In the finale, the big story is that Ted and Robin are together. The whole show is about Ted constantly going through different trials and through different lovers to find the woman that he needed, and she finally showed up in the last season. But the finale just throws that all away and you find out shes dead and he needs to get with aunt robin again. Is this really the best they could have done.

I think that the ending was great, it was a great show and they did a fantastic job on the finale. I don't really know what else you would have wanted, everyone wanted Ted and Robin to end up together and they did just that. Sure it was a little late, but it was still a great ending. Now just like every show it can't be perfect I hate how they left the Pineapple incident unexplained, but other than that it was great. Leading up to the finale we found out what Barney finally did for a living, and we go too see Ted be with Robin.

I must admit the Finale was good, i mean everyone did kinda want Ted to end up with Robin as he constantly spoke well of her. The ending is sweet with Ted repeating the scene of after his and Robins first date in the pilot. However, if i was one of the writers i would have ended this slightly differently. The point of the series was how Ted did meet the mother of his children but overtime we also heard of the stories of Robin, Barney, Lilly and Marshel and learned to grow and care for these characters. At times when Ted wasn't focusing on the mother he was talking about the friendships he had with his four best friends, so the final scene should have consisted of all five of them sitting at their favourite bar within their both having a taste to their wonderful lives. Then if Ted wants to tell Robin he loves her then he should have pulled Robin aside and spoken to her privately saying that he Loves her and they kiss. Then the camera should move over to the booth and have the other three just screaming out "oh come on" as they kinda did throughout the entirety of the series during Ted and Robin's roller coaster ride of a relationship.
