The subject of whether there truly was a Scientific Revolution during the early modern period is a fiercely debated topic in the historical arena. Yet, when looking at the literal meaning of a 'revolution', the implications veer more towards the idea of an irrevocable and more importantly universal shift in thinking. This however, is not the case with the so called 'Scientific Revolution'. When researched more closely, it becomes clear that there was an extreme lack of universal change from these new scientific observations. Following this, I shall argue that although this period was a time of great scientific 'innovation', it was a far cry from 'revolution'.

First Round for acceptance then we can begin.
