i think that truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb was a good decision because this put us on the top of the world when it came to military power. It is also a good decision because it stopped the war in its tracks. Then this caused us to create a treaty taking away japan's military making them the current leading economic power in the world.

I think that dropping the atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima was wrong because they didn't give enough warning. The first bomb killed 140,000 people at Hiroshima. The second bomb killed 80,000 people in Nagasaki. The cities that the bombs were dropped on were filled with poor people. I think that the idea that they dropped the bombs on innocent people was a bad idea!!!

It was either us, or them. The Japanese were willing to fight till the last man. The war saves hundreds of thousands of American lives.
