Pro

I believe that the american colonists were justified in breaking away. They were threatened with many taxes to pay for protection they didn't want in the first place. The colonists tried writing letters to talk to the king but the British only responded by giving them MORE taxes. Not to mention the British troops that stayed in the New York harbor all day. The colonists tried to peacefully write to the king but he wouldn't listen. That caused the colonists to use force against them and start the American Revolution.
