Im personally not okay with them. I mean if thats your religion then... well whatever. But i just dont agree with family being able to chose how another person will spend the rest of their life. How can they be okay with sending their family member to their own wedding, only seconds before meeting their new spouse, and that night having to go home with them... married?

Before I begin I want to thank my opponent for bringing up such an intuitive discussant.

I feel as if you have been slightly mis-guided.
The way you are describing arranged marriage is how it was about 60 years ago.

In the modern era, the groom sees many brides, and goes on dates before actually marrying her.
Its almost like a dating site.

Another major reason is because often times when they want to marry they are like 26 or somewhere around that.
In that young age, many people can be misguided and be fooled into love.

As parents, they want to make sure that their child does not become tricked for money or their apperance.

Well the marriage doesn't need to last, and what's wrong with going home with someone seconds after meeting them?
