What Search Engine Do You Think Is Better?
Ask.com Or Wikipedia.org
I Pretty Much Like Any Search engine besides Wikipedia.
Wikipedia Can Be Edited.
It Is A Very Untrustworthy Site.
Not Good For Children Doing A Report And Having The Wrong Information On His Paper.
I Vote That Wikipedia Is The Worst Search Engine Out There

-Thank You Tharlew

OK first off. They're both awful. Google owns all. End of story

Well, I You Think About It Google Isnt Really Gives You Another Website. At Least Wikipedia And Ask.com Give You Real Results. Google Just Redirects You To Another :)

My opponent stated in the first round that "wikipedia is very untrustworthy and can be edited" yet in the 2nd round that "at least wikipedia has real facts". so.... get yourself straight. If we're talking about Ask.com vs Wikipedia. I believe Ask.com is best for a SEARCH ENGINE! Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. So my opponent really needs to get his websites correct. Well, good luck in the next round.

Votes should go to no one. I wish I could take points away from both debaters. This is a poor excuse for a debate.

Ask.com IS a search engine. It does the exact same thing as Google.

Using Wikipedia as your only source is dumb, but that does not mean you have to discredit it all together. 90% of the time a Wikipedia page links to numerous direct sources.

The votes SHOULD go to tharlew, he set up a framework for the debate first round (which is better Ask or Wiki) and Nuegoms just went off topic from it with google. I buy tharlew's argument about "Wiki and Ask gives results, Google just redirects."

Thank You For Understanding My Debates And Beliefs On Wikipedia

Wikipedia isn't a search engine, it's a wiki -- akin to an encyclopedia. Ask.com is a search engine. There is a Q&A format of search that maybe compares in some ways to Wikipedia.

Nonetheless, I think that you have a point with Wikipedia's problems. It's fine for subjects that are not controversial, but there is a lot of skewed opinion in many articles on controversial topics.
