I would like to thank my opponent for this chance to debate him on the superior military in the 1700s. For the sake of this debate, I would like to choose England as my country of choice. Best of luck, friend.

Well first I would like to say thank you to my opponent for accepting this challenge. Also he made a great choice UK was a good choice, but I'm about to tell you why Prussia would out beat the British in war!

-Frederick the Great(King Frederick II of Prussia) really changed the Prussian military we hear of. If it wasn't for Frederick stricter discipline rules in the military wouldn't have been thought. This is one of the reasons the Prussian military got to be considered one of the greats. One of the first battles that showed the strength of the Prussian military was the battle of Hohenfriedberg. Which happened on 4 June 1745. Which was under the command of Frederick the Great. I will admit one of the great falls of the Prussian military was after Frederick the Great past and his nephew Frederick II took over, but the Prussian military did become a major power again at the end of the Napoleonic Wars and also when Otto Van Bismark became ruler of Germany in the late 1800s. That is all I have to say, and I'll let my opponent go now.

Boooo if you ever learned about the Prussian military in the 1700s you would understand that the UK got most of its militaristic ideas from Prussia. Prussia was also considered one of the most advanced militaries at this time.

Britain's invincible navy + their Redcoat army trumps Prussia's good army + pathetic navy.
