The egg because if you think about it, mutations start in the zygote which is in the egg...which means the egg comes first which turns into a hen which would come 2nd.

The egg came first as stated in my last response and if you want to get technical saying that the egg had to be born from something well then there is evolution where it evolves from another creature that used to live or still does live.

No, the mutation occurs AFTER the insemination, during replication in the zygote.

But magicaintreal, insemination occurs before the egg is formed around the embryo. It's not like the rooster peener, or cock-cock, can get through the egg shell. If the genetic mutation occurred as the genes merged, that is shortly before the egg.

Yes, there is a scientific answer to this.
Mutations occur in the zygote, which is in the egg.
Imagine the animals that preceded chickens; almost chickens, but not quite.

Well imagine that these two non-chickens mate, and in the egg of the female non-chicken, the mutation occurs, making the egg a chicken egg.

Therefore, because mutations occur in the zygote, which is in the egg, the egg is first.

The chicken egg preceded the chicken.

Are you referring to a chicken egg or just eggs in general?

If you are a creationists, you would think the chicken came first. If you are an evolutionist, there is no answer because both the chicken and the eggs slowly became more "chicken-like" with each successive generation thus there would be no definitive line between chicken and non-chicken.
