Choose your member in this round. Don't say anything about them yet.

I chose clsmooth for my most respectable member.

Please don't choose yourself people!
ABNYU

Con

revleader5. I guess I will save my arguments for the next round...but from what I have seen so far...you are definitely the most respectable!

Really? Interesting... I'm guessing you've got a trick up your sleeve. Trying to get me to trash-talk myself. Well, that won't really work. I could just tell people to vote for the "most-respectable member" in this debate, which you'll be trying to prove is me.

Well, clsmooth is the most repectable member to me. He is 13-10-1 in the debates. He supports Ron Paul and is a county coordinator for him.

Fair enough Mr. revleader...
I would never ask you to trash talk yourself...it would be impossible.

When I think of most respectable person on debate.org...I think of an honest, humble, and worthy individual...his name is revleader.
Over the course of the past few hours...I have seen him take every challenged debate.
Although revleader never wins any debates...he gives it his best shot...and that is what counts. Don't look to the fact that he has a winning percentage of 30. Look to the fact that he gives it his all...all the time. I respect that...and I think everyone else does as well.
Also...I can't help but notice his virtuous actions...namely humility.
When asking who is the most respectable member on Debate.org...it might as well have been Who to you is the most respectable member on Debate.org?...besides revleader5. However...given the question...he was able to find someone else...someone that was actually close to a mirror image of himself...but not quite as good...clsmooth.
Both of them like Ron Paul...but revleader is obviously better.

Thanks guys...and most of all...thank you revleader.

This is a very humbling debate ABNYU. You have good taste. Haha. I lose a lot of arguments because I like playing devil's advocate and taking on challenges. I also do a lot of Ron Paul stuff and people really hate me for that, haha.

Back to the debate...

clsmooth is a very thorough person when he speaks. He proves his point but never drones on. His debates seem almost staged, it seems he prepares for every argument an opponent might make. I try to do this similarly, be he does it amazingly.

Don't be bashful revleader...

Even though you lose all of your debates

you still make compelling arguments...I'm finding it hard to win this debate because you are convincing me that clsmooth is a great guy.

HOWEVER...I will stop myself...because you MUST be recognized.

If any of you are thinking about voting for revleader...think twice...a vote for me is a vote for revleader...as a truly great debater.

Once again...I would like to thank revleader and all that he has done in the few hours he has spent losing debates.

A vote for revleader...should be a vote for me.
A vote for me...is just a way to say that revleader is respectable...GIVE HIM CREDIT...I WILL NO LONGER STAND FOR THIS.

This is a funny argument because you're trying to get me to defeat myself. It is kind of like SAW any of the 4 movies. To escape, or win, I must cut off a leg, or fight myself.

Clsmooth is my idol in debating. I'm only 13, so I have some time to grow into a better debater, hopefully a debater like him.

Although I am having some doubts, maybe ABNYU. He is a genius with strategy. You must admit.

well guys...this is it...one last chance to prove to you that revleader is the most respectable debater on debate.org

We all know that revleader is a virtuous person...he has proven throughout this debate...
-humility-choosing clsmooth...in a topic that he would obviously win
-valor-revleader gives it his all even though he loses...all the time...24/7...every week...of every year...of every decade...for the next millennium...

but most of all...
-ambition-revleader's last round argument proves it. he is constantly striving to be a better debater. although he chooses clsmooth this is still virtuous...all of the good things about clsmooth i already see in revleader...his debating abilities included.

HUMILITY...VALOR...AMBITION

Just remember...a vote for me will only help revleader achieve his goals...

Revleader can't help it...even when he tries to hide it...he still shows us his virtuous characteristics...a person bursting at the seams with respectability...revleader deserves nothing less than a vote for me.

Hmmm...where have I heard this before? Oh yes:

"Now, I know there are some polls out there saying that this man has a 32% approval rating. But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. "

-Stephen colbert, 2006 white house correspondance dinner.

PS. to all who have not seen the speech colbert gave at the correspondance dinner, see it.

sorry revleader5 it was a kind of dumb debate topic - no one knows ALL the debaters and anyway "respectable" is too vague
but this was just funny

I have to say, clsmooth is a good pick here. Our debate on utilitarianism was probably the best I have had on this site and even though I got more votes I feel he won the debate. Which raises my question. Do people commonly vote for themselves during decision? I don't want to be an arrogant fool, but I also don't want to have an automatic disadvantage. Someone solve my quandry.

haha. Wow, Revleader5, I'm flattered. Thanks. Of course, you got my vote in this one. How could you lose? lol
