If two people truly love and care for one another, Why should it matter what sex they are?
Michaelphelps

Con

I hope not offend anyone in this potentially sensitive topic.

No onto my arguments,
I believe it should be banned for the sake of the children. Sociologists have demonstrated over and over again that the optimal nurturing environment for young children is in a home where they are raised in a two-parent family headed by a man and a woman who are married to each other. All good public policy will facilitate this ideal and discourage the recognition of marriage counterfeits. Further, men and women are fundamentally different from each other, in every cell of their bodies, meaning that a father has a unique contribution to make to the lives of his children as does a mother. As Hansen points out, males tend to "embrace reason over emotion, rules over relationship, risk-taking over caution, and standards over compassion, while (females) generally embrace the reverse."

In order for a child to be nurtured in a wholesome home and family environment a Married couple with a man and a women is essential. Opposite sex parenting gives children examples of both masculinity and femininity in action, and the complementary interaction of these qualities enables them to grow up with a healthy and balanced view of life and relationships.

Thank you and I look forward to your response.

BSH, your RFD (reason for decision) is cryptic and confused. Perhaps you could clarify and elaborate?

You wrote: "Reasons for voting decision: FF + Spelling = Con. Love = Pro"

Issue: Are you voting for Pro because you love him? If not, please clarify.

Issue: Pro asked a question in his opening post, but he never answered the question. We don't know what side he is on, or why he is on that side. Since he never came back, since he never established his own position or responded to his opponent's position, I think FF (full forfeit) is proper.

But gave Pro persuasion points even though you said he did a full forfeit. This seems a contradiction. Maybe you meant just a partial forfeit, not a full forfeit? I don't see how you can do that, given that Pro never argued. But at least you wouldn't be contradicting yourself.

Maybe what you want to say is that you agreed with Pro before the debate, and you still agree with him after the debate, even though he didn't argue. You can show that without voting points for someone who never showed up to argue. Just vote the two lines above the conduct line.

I'll do that myself, by way of illustration.
