Con

I just think it is so mean to even use the word hate. Even thought I personally love Taylor Swift, I think I am being fair. You can say you dislike her, but not hate.
JuliusMaximus

Pro

First I thought I might provide a definition for the word hate.

1

a: intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury

b: extreme dislike or antipathy : loathing

-Merriam Webster

I believe that it is completely appropriate for someone to hate Taylor Swift ,especially under the second definition. There is no reason to say that you shouldn't hate anyone, as it , in that circumstance is meant to mean an extreme dislike or antipathy , so you could for that reason "Hate" Taylor without actually hating her.

I really can't and want to believe that someone would go against me!!!! You know it is really mean that you did that!!!

Pro

Can't tell if you are a troll, or a nutcase. I hope the first.

Con

You really want to go that way? First off, like I said you are really mean.Second, how would you feel if someone said they hated you? That is all I want to say to you. Can,t tell if you are a nutcase, either! Bam!
JuliusMaximus

Pro

Trust me, may people hate me. If your such a nutjob that you think that anyone who is apithetic towards a certain person or their music is a hatemonger. Well then I dont know what to say what to say. You expect to have no one oppose you?

"Why do people hate Taylor Swift?"

This is a loaded question as it assumes that people "hate" her to any siginificant degree. What is there to hate? She is a good singer, is successful, attractive, and talented.

Reasons for voting decision: Both had terrible arguments but all Con ever really did was call Pro mean for saying he hated Taylor Swift. So, convincing argument (even though both were bad) and sources to Pro.

Reasons for voting decision: Yeah, I can't give arguments either, since I don't really know what was supposed to be upheld by Pro or refuted by Con. However, I will give S&G to Con, since Pro had a few more errors. Reliable sources go to Pro for the definition. Whether it added to the debate or not, I don't really know; this wasn't really a debate anyways.

Reasons for voting decision: Resolutions aren't to be questions. I really have no idea what resolution pro was attempting to defend so no points despite the fact that I agree with imabench's assessment of Con.
