Gay marriage should be legal, since when does anyone get off by being able
to tell someone else how to live there life. If we claim we have equal rights then we should practice what we preach and allow same sex marriage. How would allowing two people weather they be the same sex or not get married affect the whole world? In reality it should only affect that couple, and everyone else should mind there own business.
IT SHOULD NOT BECAUSE THIS NATION IS UNDER GOD AND HAS TO ABIDE BY GOD LAWS AND THE BIBLE SAY BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY THATS COMMON SENSE THATS LIKE BRINGING A MORE SINFUL NATURE TO THE WORLD ( NOW DO YOU REALLY THINK ?) YOU DECIDE |

"be fruitful and multiply" although same sex couples may not be able to actually conceive and give birth to a baby, they are completely capable of
adopting a baby in need of a home or having a woman carrie one for them with artificial insemination. and just because our nation observes religion doesn't mean it's law. the bible says something about not killing and we have violent wars and the death penalty. and supposedly your "god" loves everyone right?! well the whats so different between homosexuals and you and i.
your right about not killing and its wrong too the bible also says judge not and you cant say that your country doesn't have people who kill other people and your comment and be fruitful and multiply makes no sense because you said " just because your nation observes religion it doesn't make it a law" NOT IF YOU BELIVE IN GOD. "GOD IS THE LAW" JUST LIKE IN YOUR EVERY DAY LIFE YOU JUDGE PEOPLE JUST LIKE PEOPLE GET SENT TO JAIL AND HAVE TO GET LETHAL INJECTION ahhhhhh duh ( the bible says you should not kill either so you think about it next time you hear off a judge making person DIE just because THE GOVENMENT SAYS SO SINCE WHEN DID THEY BECOME MORE PRIVILEGD . iF THIS NATION IS UNDER GOD THEN IT SHOULD ABIDE BY GODS RULES. THANK YOU |

First of all i would like to nicely ask for you to review
your post before you post it because it's kind of hard for me to read and im not really sure what exactly you were saying. I think that maybe this debate isn't going to work out very well because no matter what i say your going to say "god is law". Im not completely sure what the bible says about homosexuals word from word. But i don't think and im not sure about this but i don't think that it says being with the same sex is sin? Correct me if im wrong please. I really don't understand as to why someone else being gay would affect anyone else but them?! That is there own decision and they should get the same rights that anyone else should get. If they want to get married and adopt a baby then they should be able to, but like i said i already know what your response is going to be and thats going to be "god is law". So like i said im not really sure how to go on with this debate.
A sin is anything wrong or that is not pleasing in gods eyesight ok God does love every one. Did he not make adam and eve or adam and steve it takes a woman to produce a child not a man thats why he did not make two men because they were not capable of producing a child. Its still Gods law no matter how you put it i cant begin to tell you that homosexuals have a huge affect on alot of people and if your not sure read THE FIRST OF THE BIBLE PAGE AND IT TELLS YOU BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY AND THATS IT MY NOT SEEM SO WRONG BUT WHEN YOU PUT IN THE WORLDS EYES BUT IN GODS EYESIGHT A SIN IS ASIN AND HE LOVES EVERY HE DOESENT LIKE THE SIN BUT HE LOVES THE PERSON NOTHINGS WRONG WITH HOMOSEXUALS ITS THE SIN THAT THERE DOING THAT IS WRONG |

To wit, I'm a perfect example; I'm an atheist and it's perfectly legal for me to get married in the parking lot of the unholiest place in America (say, for example, the active-wear department of a Wal-Mart).
Furthermore, nothing about marriage in the US requires procreation - it's perfectly legal for a heterosexual couple that never intends to have children to get married.
All of uiop's arguments are fatally-flawed. But then again, the arguments of ignorant, intolerant bigots usually are.
happy with this debate like at all but
whatever.
Thanks uiop for taking the
challenge.
I have said it twice already, but it seem proper to say it again. GOD LOVES THE SINNER BUT HATES THE SIN.
All sin and every sin will send someone to hell, but God is willing to forgive ANY SIN if the sinner is repentant. If the sinner remains unrepentant, God will not forgive them. If the sinner is truely repentant and asks God to forgive them, GOD WILL FORGIVE THEM NO MATTER WHAT!
It is important to note however that repenting of one sin will not redeem a person. GOD REQUIRES THE SINNER TO REPENT OF ALL THEIR SINS, AND DO OUR BEST TO TRY NOT TO DO THEM AGAIN. God does not require perfection, because perfection is impossible for us. He require us to honestly try to live our life for him.
Romans 6:23---
"For the wages of sin (every sin) is death (in hell), but the gift of God is eternal life (in heaven) through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Gays along with every other sinner DESERVE death in hell, but God (because He loves the sinner) is willing to save them if they will repent. You are still a sinner after repenting and giving your life to God, but you are a sinner saved by grace.
Leviticus 18:22---
"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Leviticus 20:13---
"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them, have done what is detestable. They must be out to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
The Bible says homosexuality is wrong in an uncomfortably explicit way. In the Old Testament, when people lived by the covanent of works, homosexuality was even PUNISHABLE BY DEATH. In the New Testament, however, the covanent of grace is introduced, and because of it every sin is forgivable. God loves the sinner, but hates the sin.
But anyway, do gays go to hell?
"supposedly your "god" loves everyone right?! well the whats so different between homosexuals and you and i."
Yes, He does love everyone, including homosexuals, but that does not mean He approves of their actions. It is our depraved human nature that causes such things as homosexuality to occure, but God loves the sinner, NOT the sin.
