I will argue that Donald Trump has enough of a following to become the President of the United States.

No, Donald Trump may have the followers but he will not become the president of the United states so I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE.

Before we begin, I would like to wish my opponent the best of luck in this debate.

First Argument: The Polls

According to many polls, Donald Trump is leading in many states. According to Business Insider, out of the 13 states that hold primaries over the next 2 weeks, Donald Trump is leading the polls in 9 of them. That is a significant number of states he is winning in, and in addition to the 7 states he's already won, he looks to be running away with the Republican nomination. The real question is, though, is if he will be leading the polls in November. As of March 5, 2016, he is only a few points behind Hilary Clinton in a recent CNN poll, but in the span of 8 months, this gives Trump a great amount of time to make up these few points.

Yes, he might be leading the poll but their one thing that you are forgetting and that is that the Republican Party doesn't want a clown as their Candidate. Don't underestimate the Republican Party, they are trying anything to get trump out of the lead. For instance, they send both George H. W. Bush but also Mitt Romney to try to stop Trump from burning down the party. In addition l, the number of endorsement he is getting are decrease this is why everytime somebody agrees to endorse him, he puts them to speak on TV. Finally, the Latino vote. Even though he only attacked the Mexicans, what he didn't realize is that he actually facing latinos and Latino Vote with the African American Vote are important factors of winning the election which Donald Trump ignores.

Rebuttals: What the Republican party does not is not what matters, it's the people's vote that matters. It is true that the part does not want him as their candidate, because they fear that he will lose to either Hillary or Bernie. But as long as people keep voting for him at the polls, the "Trump Train" will keep on going. Another point you made was that without the Latino vote, he can not win. While it seems like the Latino vote could carry this election, only about 17% of Americans are Latino, which leaves a large percentage of Non-Latinos that could potentially vote for him. Also, African-Americans only make up 13% of the US population, which still leaves with a large number of majority white voters.

Second Argument: Popularity

While you may think this is the same as Polls, it's actually quite different. If you ever go on the internet, you would most likely think "Who would ever vote for this man". Most of the people who bash Trump do not even know much about his political stances, and most of the people who do this are under 18. But like I previously stated, Trump is winning most states, which is a head-scratcher for most people. The reason people vote for Trump is because people are tired of having to be "politically correct". People want someone who isn't afraid to make tough decisions and do whatever it takes to "make America great again". While I agree that temporarily banning Muslims and making Mexico pay for a giant wall to separate the border is a bit far-fetched, most of policies are agreeable and do-able.

First, I meant to say Latin Americans. In addition, while he has the popular vote that doesn't mean that he can win the election. In addition, it is true that his stance is great but the mislabeling that he does is incredible and this is not a quality a president should have because affect foreign policy. Do you really want another useless war like the Cold War? Finally, it is true that we need having a business person as a president would be good but trump isn't exactly the best choice because unlike other businessman, Trump had a headstart ($1 million loan) and didn't build himself from the ground. For instance, John D. Rockefeller who started with nothing and on the end obtain most of the control of U.S Oil or Andrew Carnegie who came to this country as an immigrant and provide most of U.S steel. Unlike this two, Trump looks like a reality star so can trump handle doing the big decision when he can even accept failure (Henry Ford failed 2 times on making a company and Edison failed 10000 and they accept it but Trump can even handle one). If trump was truly a great businessman instead of seeing immigrant as future profit as result of the tax you can do to each but Trump doesn't even notice this.

Pro

Rebuttals: While Trump's policies may cause public outcry, it is unlikely that a form of war will occur from his policies. The worst that could happen is a few Islamic states (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) being more on the fence with us. Another point you brought up was our need for a business man in office. Many businesses get loans in order to get themselves known, and for Trump to turn a million dollar loan to a billion dollar company makes him a good business man, because many people would not be able to do that.

His Policies will bring because their unfair and undemocratic. Have you seen his rally? This man will create a pandemonium in America. In addition, yes many businessman started but not only some have smaller but also the best businessman are the one who start with some or nothing.
