First off, I'm not arguing that Ron Paul would be a bad president, I'm arguing that he simply will not get the nomination from the Republican party. Even if he did, he stands no chance of winning.

First off, I would like to give a link to something that pretty much tells me where Paul is in the election race so far. http://www.realclearpolitics.com......

Several times some straw polls have been put into the debate showing that, in fact, Ron Paul IS winning in some races. However, experts say that there are no links between these Straw Polls and actually winning the election. The ones that have the most accuracy in predicting winners are the sscientific ones like I linked. (I can give the link to that article if wanted)

Basically, he isn't winning in any of the important states, and so there is nothing to suggest he could possibly get the nomination from the Republican Side. If he cannot even garner enough support to win a nomination, than I doubt he could win in a actual race. He may have avid supporters, but that doesn't make up for his lack of the majority support. Another link to show that he isn't winning anything: http://www.realclearpolitics.com......

He has done admirably, especially in the fund raising department, and for that I give him props, but there is no chance he will win the 2008 election.

I request you to show me any non-biased polls, showing that Paul is in the lead. I also request that they are current. Other than that, let the debates begin.

Well, let's see. I posted some points, dan accepted the challenge. In response to my points, the debater said nothing. I'll give the benefit of the doubt on this, but I think that dan should really have responded for at least the first round.

Again, nothing has been brought up. Therefore, there is nothing to say. There has been no clash on the part of the Pro team, and therefore there is no reason not to vote for me.

Again, another round wasted. I strongly believe that a vote in todays debate must be placed towards me, because... I'm the only one to have argued.

Thank you for your time.

Future markets places him at 9% chance last time I checked, and that isn't that bad. It's still possible.

He's never really stood a chance. The only reason people think he does (as far as I can tell) is because he is the first true libertarian to have a chance. The only way he would is if he ran independent but still he would probably come out like Ross Perot did in '92 at best. Plus if he did that, he would throw off the whole Republican side giving the Democrats an easy win, which I think there's another debate on. In fact, why doesn't Ron Paul run independent then? ;) Just kidding.

Why thank you! Yeah, I think Dan may have just been wrapped up in the Holidays. Still though, he shouldn't have accepted the challenge is he can't post up.

Since Dan never responded, Rousseau's argument must have been so tough to argue against, that it blew Dan's mind. Blowing minds is a reason to declare Rousseau's victory.

And Perry, Paul has a shot, albeit an extremely small one. And thank God for this.

I believe he has a shot, as Dr. Paul said on the Tonight Show, anyone on the ballot has a chance.

Yeah, that's kind of an "in the bag" debate. Debate on something like, worst president ever or best president ever.

Some people honestly beleive he will... Otherwise why would he have supporters? Not only that, I know next to nothing about the man.
