Hello, and good evening to all those on debate.org. My debate tonight with my friend, Ethan is regarding the future of our nation, the Republican Party, and America's stance in the modern world. It is my opinion, that Donald Trump would not be a detriment to world affairs. He may not be the most tactful and professional of men, but what has the last several presidents, with their political correctness done for our nation, besides debase ourselves in front of our allies and enemies alike. He has a proven record, not of crony conservatism, but of business solutions. And, for a country 18 trillion dollars in debt, a proven businessman could prove to be very helpful. In addition to this his proponents include esteemed conservative icons such as Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Dr. Ben Carson, and former attorney general Chris Christie; I look forward to your response.
Thank you, for that great introduction into our debate. I believe that Trump as president would indeed be detrimental.
As you have seen in his speeches, interviews, and reports, that his goal is to make everything better. His promise is to create a better America, a better place for people to live, and a better society. He has yet to explain what he is going to do to make it better, and at this point has done nothing to help Americans. I believe there are better candidates, more in tune with what needs to be done, and more honest in morals, finances, and politics, who would do so much more than Trump.
Thank you, i look forward to what you have to say.
With all due respect, he has indeed explained how he plans to "Make America Great Again!", albeit in a rather straight forward simpleton manner. He plans to build a border wall, while keeping in mind his three central tenets of immigration reform; "A nation without borders is not a nation, A nation without laws is not a nation, and a nation that doesn't serve its own citizens is not a nation", he plans to have Mexico pay for the wall, by threatening to cut off foreign aid, and increase tariffs on goods, H-1B visas, etc. He has stated that he will "make better deals", and by doing so reducing our national debt. While there may be other more apt candidates, the likely winner of the Republican nomination is Donald Trump, so, with that in mind we should, as Republicans we should support Trump as the likely nominee. Thanks you and i look forward to your response
