They can't because they are too costly i.e. difficult to make, have a lower energy output and are mostly dependent upon climatic conditions.

I accept your challenge and will take the side of pro which represents the argument that fossil fuels shall become obselete in the future and be replaced with alternative energies.

Okay, my main argument is that alternative energy sources don't produce that much energy as compared to fossil fuel generators, so therefore we would need more alternative energy sources that would take up more space, costs and building material. Also, alternative energy sources are far too dependent on climate, such as hydropower on rains, solar power on clear skies and wind turbines on the weather.
Okay waiting for the rebuttal.

As pro forfeited the round, I would conclude by saying that current alternative energy sources won't be able to meet the demand of energy that is fulfilled by fossil fuels as they are extremely dependent on climate, produce lesser amounts of energy and require costly building material.

Hmm. Yes, but hydroelectric power can do it currently.

But the current models can't do it, can it? And it is about current alternative enrgy sources

Well, when fossil fuel resources are limited, the human race as a whole will have no other option. Therefore, a new industrialization of resources would be forced to take place, and alternative energy sources would be made in a more cost-efficient manner, simply because there is no other option.
