In Chaucer's era, there wasn't any particular spelling for each word which made reading a burden and resulted in anarchy. After years of evolution English finally had spelling and now instead of evolving we are doing the exact opposite we are going towards the dark ages not the golden one on every front. Now, it seems like the end of human rule on earth is near.

- Hello dear opponent, I will accept this particular debate for the fun of it, which is basically the ridiculousness of your debate (bringing us back to the "Dark Ages"). Your BoP is that Chaucer's era made particular spelling for each word and
made reading a burden which brought the civilization to anarchy. THERE, now you are saying that language is bringing us to Anarchy, you are contradicting yourself. Then you continue: Ever since English became more modified and comfortable to use in our current era we are corrupting the linguistic system of it and by that we are bringing ourselves back to the Dark Ages. So, as I have understood what you're a basically saying is we will bring our society to THIS portrayal because of improper language usage due to social networking websites:

Definition:

Okay, now you claim that social networking websites will corrupt our civilisation and bring us back to the dark ages. Pretty bizarre argument coming from you because I could already tell that you may not even know what the term "Dark Ages" might mean. The term "Dark Ages" means: "a time during which a civilization undergoes a decline (1)"

Argument

In order for society to actually downfall to the Dark Ages; it will take much more than a simple social networking website(s). Something that would decline our society to the Dark Ages would be basic necessities/resources that the world might some day run out of. For instance, petroleum, uranium, copper, clean water sources, ecological factors, etc. etc. the reason people use social networking is to SOCIALIZE. The reason people use poor grammar is because poor grammar represents "abridgements": a much easier and faster way to clarify something. For example it is much easier and faster to write "4 u" than "for you". In case you don't know; it is not because people's intelligence quotients are decreasing. If you really think that society is becoming "stupid" then you should've argued about the educational system.
