Hello all,

Id like to debate about the world ending in December 21st 2012.

I don't think this will happen.

Be your argument religious or scientific I would like to debate this theory.

Thank you and I look forward to our debate!

Warm greetings to all....the topic here is 'will the world end December 21st 2012?', apparently with the current earthquake rate, it sounds as well as seems sensible that the world may end in 2012. There have been frequent Earthquakes in present and with the prediction made by philosophers.....it quite verifies there predictions!

First off, Id like to thank my opponent for accepting my debate on "will the world end December 21st 2012"

My opponent has chosen to use Earthquakes to predict that the world will end on the given date.

Our planet has been in existence for more than 4 billion years, why now?
Let me tell you, there is no significance in December 2012 than there was in other predicted "Doomsday"

NASA States:
For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none, and for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact. There is no credible evidence for any of the assertions made in support of unusual events taking place in December 2012.

My opponent argues "apparently with the current earthquake rate, it sounds as well as seems sensible that the world may end in 2012"
It would be ignorant for me to suggest that there hasn't been an increase in Earthquakes over the last 100 years but my opponent mentions that philosophers have made predictions on 2012.

Ill await some further evidence from my opponent to further my debate.

My opponent has chosen to forfeit his/her round.

Obviously doesn't have enough evidence to back his/her claims

Alright, I'll start making a case. I will use the 2012 predictions, but my argument will still be mostly scientific.

I would debate this with Con when you're done, as long as you dont hold me to an insane BoP and expect me to prove my position is absolutely right.
