I believe you are wrong because their are already multiple prototypes of flying cars that could be used on a daly basis. For example, the company Terrafugia already has a working prototype and plan to start production within the next decade or so.
Based on the test i have read and seen, the prototype is fully functional as both a car and airplane. I don't believe this transportation will be complicated because people will transition to this type of transportation because it is more convenient for long distance traveling.
At this point the prototype can only hold two people but Terrafugia is working to hold more passengers. Also, at this point, the flying car is too expensive for most people to afford, however, over time it will become more affordable.
If and when they do become affordability, many dealerships and car businesses will end up closing if enough people get these flying cars and then they have to learn how to fly which can cause accidents and the flying cars could cause a lot of pollution to our environment.
The car dealerships won't go out of business if they transition to selling flying cars. Also people would have to be properly trained in order to use a flying car. Lastly, I believe there will be flying cars in the future because the next progression and innovation for cars would be for them to fly.
There is a lot of truth to this statement, but I fell as though, overall it would only backfire if we started using flying cars. Maybe 100 years from now our civilization will be able to produce these cars that will benefit us, but I believe that right now it would not benefit us at all due to the pollution and costs of these cars.
