When women and men play together, men find themselves at a distinct disadvantage. Men have been raised to treat women with respect and kindness. This notion definitely shows up on the playing field. For example, you can never hit a girl as hard as you would hit a man.
Since men are so competitive, they may feel like they are letting their team down by not giving 100 percent against a woman, like they would when going against a man.
Although women have a competitive side, men are more aggressive. Traditionally, women are thought of as more fragile and less aggressive than man. With this in mind, it is clear the reasons why it is so difficult for women to participate in male dominated sports.
Also, since the women is in the male dominated sport, the chances that their other females out there helping "the cause" are very small which makes it even harder for her to be taken serious.
Regardless of the sport for women participating in traditionally male dominated sports is that the female body is not made to correctly function while participating. For example€"women have BOOBS. Which distinctly get in the way of their range of motion? If a man ran into you, or touched your boobs while playing sports, would you feel violated? Because what you're telling is that you think this would be OKAY. Hmm€
Also, the idea that the women will lose their femininity if they play with men is another reason to keep them off the field and out of the ring. For women to be taken seriously in a male dominated sport they have to not only be the best female in the ring, gym, or wherever, they also have to be the best overall athlete.
Men will not treat women with respect; they want to be equal in their status on the team but because of our sexual natures, women might take something differently or in a sexual harassment way that may even lead to charges.

Contention1:
Sports are pointless. What societal impact would it have if women began playing sports.

Contention 2:
Gives more advantage to the women. They can add extra sports to their resumes. Plus, It has been proven that doing sports if you are female, can benefit you greatly.

Contention 3:
Maybe it will turn people off sports so they can finally get a life and contribute to soceity. Maybe, this will make sports more boring, so these people who spend entire weekends watching ESPN can finally get a life. There is so much time wasted on sports.

Contention 4:
It regulates the other male players. The meglomaniacs are out there to destroy their opponent. (with the obvious exception of baseball). Steroid-abusing drug-using money-wasting giants need to be kept in check.

now onto her case
The "distinct defenitoin is checked, because she says that women are worse at sports, then men will go easier on them. The system checks

Since men are so competitive, they may feel like they are letting their team down by not giving 100 percent against a woman, like they would when going against a man.

Well, then they should allow them to do it, by putting a specific new defense on their side

Although women have a competitive side, men are more aggressive. Traditionally, women are thought of as more fragile and less aggressive than man. With this in mind, it is clear the reasons why it is so difficult for women to participate in male dominated sports.

Generally, the women who want to partake of male sports, and are good enough are as agressive as a man. this aargument is invalid because 1 there is no study and 2 she only refers to all females, it's too generic

Also, since the women is in the male dominated sport, the chances that their other females out there helping "the cause" are very small which makes it even harder for her to be taken serious.

Well, you just said men have respect for women, so whatever cause they may support is helped obviously

Regardless of the sport for women participating in traditionally male dominated sports is that the female body is not made to correctly function while participating. For exampleâ€"women have BOOBS. Which distinctly get in the way of their range of motion? If a man ran into you, or touched your boobs while playing sports, would you feel violated? Because what you're telling is that you think this would be OKAY. Hmm…

- well obviously they'd have protection, the same goes for when another player accidently grabs another guys junk. this argument has no valididity for the argument.

Also, the idea that the women will lose their femininity if they play with men is another reason to keep them off the field and out of the ring. For women to be taken seriously in a male dominated sport they have to not only be the best female in the ring, gym, or wherever, they also have to be the best overall athlete

- my opponent acts like it's the 1920s, if they are powerful, they will be accepted

Men will not treat women with respect; they want to be equal in their status on the team but because of our sexual natures, women might take something differently or in a sexual harassment way that may even lead to charges.

-this argument is disproven, because of male cheerleaders. When we allowed men to be cheerleaders and work with females, did it lead to numerous charges.

Olympic equestrian events and some sailing events are stages without regard to gender. I read that shooting events were originally mixed, but they have now made a separate women's competition.

I think U.S. Title 9 rules require that if there is no separate women's division in a particular sport, the women must be allowed to participate in the men's teams.

The reason for separation is that men and women are physically different, and sports are physical competitions. Duh.

In all honesty, I really don't understand how someone could even consider there to be an ounce of dis-justice in the idea of a woman not being allowed on a mans team. It's a biological fact that men are made different than women, not only are they larger (for the most part) and gain muscle easier/ able to gain more than women in general but the expectations for the conduct of the male players would also have to change as well. Although I do realize that us women like to be treated as equals (and should be), I also know that there are certain socially accepted rules for a mans conduct around women. To pose the argument or consider an attempt for women to be on a mens sports team is unreasonable.

Also, women can't play on a men's team, since then it would no longer be a "men's" team.
