My argument is that over population is a problem that soon will become our worst nightmare.Everyday we loose resources that help everyone. What happens when there are no more resources??A war will break out.Any type of war such a s a civil war.

I’m not sure what the rules are?

...so I’ll start with some rebuttals:

Over population is a problem that soon will become our worst nightmare.

YOUR worst nightmare is not MY worst nightmare, therefore YOUR worst nightmare is not OUR worst nightmare. My worst nightmare is my parachute failing to open (and that’s why I don’t parachute jump).

Everyday we loose resources that help everyone

Resources don’t necessarily help people. Look at some of the autocratic Arab Oil producing countries, such as Saudi Arabia, only a few disproportionately benefit from oil wealth. Wood is a resource, it doesn’t help everyone though. It doesn’t help me when I jam my finger in a wooden door. Wood also doesn’t help people because its accumulation contributes to global warming, what would you rather: burn to death or walking sticks for the elderly?

Resources don’t help everyone. They often only truly help those who consume them rather than those that collect them (blood diamond, anyone?). War and Exploitation.

What happens when there are no more resources??

People will stop having Oil Wars. And humankind will find alternative resources (where applicable).

A war will break out. Any type of war such a s a civil war.

It is not proven that the outbreak of war is positively correlated with population growth. There is probably less conflict now than at any time throughout history. Think back to two million BC when there was only 9 people on the planet….. Cane killed Able.

If population growth were to result in a war, due lack of resources like food, everyone would die or starve anway. Kind of self-correcting, innit?

Reasons for voting decision: Pro forfeited after he made weak arguments that Con refuted. Some of Con's refutation were very literal and semantical, and so I didn't like them, but he was able to refute some other points effectively, specifically when he said, "It is not proven that the outbreak of war is positively correlated with population growth. There is probably less conflict now than at any time throughout history." I can deduce from the two sentences that Con wrote that he had appalling spelling mistakes. Hence, S&G also go for Con with Conduct(since Pro forfeited) and Arguments(since Con had better arguments).
