Would there be less war if there was less religion?
Debate Rounds (5)
First round is only for the acceptance of the challenge.
Let us not disagree or agree until we have reliable sources and an open mind.
Looking forward to a growing debate that involves rationality beyond arguments, and not a fanatic person to listen to for the sake of true discussion.
I must admit this debate was a mistake because religion is not the cause of most of the wars.
But it is the cause of islamic extremism and other previous crusader journeys and such. All those violent actions could have been prevented if religion wasn't a thing. But I'll assume people would find other ways to blame eachother and cause wars, instead of religion. So yeah, in other words:
Yes there is a chance that there would be less war without religion.
But also no because there is a chance that people would make more war because of other reasons instead of religion.
So in other words, it would be balanced by the thirst for power in every man's nature.
I choose to fill in blank for the rest of the debate.
Yes, pretty much quitting this topic as it seems very small to the topic of war.
Mr.Case forfeited this round.
I hit the cancel button, but I saw you took it.
