The Topic: "XBox360 are better than the PS3"
This happens to be my strong subject.
Because i have both a PS3 And an XBox 360.

first we will compare and contrast:

Sony PlayStation 3.
Sony's PS3 is the most expensive at $500-600, because it includes a standard hard drive, a high definition Blu-ray optical drive, HD video output, Bluetooth wireless controllers, and–in the premium version–WiFi wireless networking.

Sony is setting up the PS3 as a PC alternative. The premium model has a memory card reader for not only Sony's own Memory Stick but also–in what must be an incredible first for the company–Compact Flash and SD memory cards, making the PS3 a digital hub for photos; with a USB keyboard and mouse and the included web browser, it can serve as a basic PC.

Sony originally announced plans to ship the PS3 with Linux pre-installed, but currently user installation of "another operating system" is only a boot option. Use of another OS isn't currently supported by Sony, and would of course need to be specially designed to work on the PS3's specialized Cell processor architecture.

The PS3 is also the new HD core of Sony's modern take on the stereo system, offering 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround and true 1080p high definition video playback from prerecorded Blu-ray movies.

Popular PS3 games sell for $50 - $60.

PlayStation 3 (Includes 60GB Hard Drive, Blu-Ray Drive, WiFi)
PlayStation 3 (Includes 80GB Hard Drive, Blu-Ray Drive, WiFi and Motorstorm Pack)

on to the XBOX

Microsoft Xbox 360.
Introduced last winter, Microsoft's Xbox 360 is $300-450, uses a standard DVD optical drive, and only includes a hard drive and wireless game controller in its premium version. Microsoft recently updated the 360 to provide support for full HD, 1080p video output to match the PS3.

Rather than positioning the Xbox 360 as a standalone PC alternative, Microsoft pairs it with its plans for Windows Media Center, allowing the 360 to be used as a media extender to stream music and movies from a central Media Center PC.

Microsoft has plans to offer HD movie playback both with an optional HD-DVD player in an external box, and over the web through its online Xbox Live video store.

However, the Xbox 360's optional, external HD-DVD player is $180, pushing the 360 up to the same price as the PS3. Further, the $300 core Xbox 360 systems can't use Microsoft's online video store because they don't have the required hard drive to save downloaded movies.

Popular Xbox 360 games sell for $50 - $70.

Xbox 360 Core Console (no Hard Drive)
Xbox 360 Console (Includes 20GB Hard Drive)
Xbox 360 Elite System Console (Includes 120GB Hard Drive)

Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter for WiFi ($99)
Xbox 360 External HD-DVD Player ($180)

Now i must defend my position on "PS3 Is Better"
Lets first look at processing power
The XBox Has 3 Cores that run 3.2Ghz
The PS3 has 6 Cells that run 3.2Ghz
More processing power - also means higher graphics (without blur) and shorter load screens.

Lets now look at the GPU,
the Xbox runs a Xenos GPU (core speed of 500MHz with 50 pixel pipelines.)
The PS3 Runs on a Reality Synthesizer (core speed of 550MHz and 24 pixel pipelines.)

The xenos is slightly more powerful than the Synthesizer but games reley on the CPU more than the GPU.

Hardrive Capability's: (mid models)
The ps3 has a 60gb SATA 2.5 HDD, this is a laptop HDD which is fully upgradable.
The Xbox HDD is 20gb, only 16gb for use and is not upgradable.
This makes the PS3 47gb bigger and has alot faster reading due to serial ata tech.

now what about the RAM?
The 360 features a 512mb RAM - 700MHz
all of this RAM can be accessed by the CPU and GPU

The PS3 has two RAM sets, One for CPU and one for GPU, they both add up to 512mb, the GPU's alone RAM is clocked at 1.3GHz... THAT'S NEARLY TWICE AS FAST!

How bout the usb ports?
The PS3 has 4 USB ports found at the front of the console.
The "360" has 3, 2 in front and 1 in the back.

RELIABILITY:
The single fact that The Xbox 360 has a failure rate of 33% is a good reason not to buy it. My Xbox has never failed but many of my friend's have.

The PS3 has a failure rate of .2%
Statistics alone say that the PS3 is 150 times more reliable than the Xbox.

Games: (i will line up the famous ones)
PS3:
Grand Turismo HD
Resistance fall of man
Kill Zone 2

Xbox 360:
Forza 2
Halo 3
Gears Of War
They both have a great line up and by my personal opinion they are equal.

Disks:
The PS3 BlueRay Disk have a capacity of 50Gb, While the Xbox DVDs have a Capacity of 9Gb
Which means more potential for PS3 Games.

I rest My case

Another great reason the PS3 is better is that a Blue Ray player cost around 200$, one that will play a DVD and a BR disk cost 500$, guess what, the PS3 does both! Vote For Me! and i hope he doesn't forfeit again, i was really looking forward to his Opinion!

Did you know Microsoft was asked to issue a full hardware recall on Xbox360 because they would break down almost inevitably within 1 year? They didn't do it of course, so instead they extended their warranty to 90 days, which was estimated to be a few million dollar loss for the company.

That, and Vista, these guys are truly slacking on quality.

How did PRO get even one vote?

Its really impossible for him to get points because he didn't post anything, if he wins this its because people are using their opinions and are voting without reading.

You shouldnt be argueing. Debateing is a whole different thing. Because instead of trying to convince the person your debating you are trying to convince the voters. who are completely not a apart of the actually debate.
