Kids are always hungry and it wouldn't be disrupting class at all.

I definitely think snacks should be allowed within reasonable measure in classroom. Snacks provide those with a medical need to be able to function in class. Also, snacks help students that may have sensory processing issues to focus more. Even if you don't have any medical or sensory processing issues-everyone benefits from having food as it gives you energy. Now..I wonder if you are allowing snacks in class-should they be healthy or approved?

Its not that difficult to understand that blood sugar levels affect the ability to concentrate and focus.

Just as important as taking 5 to 10 mins every couple of hours to stretch is the importance of balancing the blood sugar with a small snack suitable to maintain a healthy blood sugar level. Of course a nutritionist in each of the school districts would be necessary, but hey - the government is only to happy to enable a budget increase for the benefit of our future functioning adults. right?
