There have been no proof of zombies. A corpse cannot be reanimated. Even if it can, it will not eat flesh because a zombie has no brain functions to know how to eat.

"There has been no proof of zombies"

This is not true as they attacked Egypt.
If they attacked Egypt they are real thus possible
Therefore zombies are possible

It is technically not reanimation as the brain is dormant not completely dead just the organs fail but the brain is necessary

A Zombie does have brain function it is just they are very primeval.

Definition of reanimate- To restore to life.

If you look at your source, it says that zombies are, "They are, or were, people who were infected by the Solanum virus. The virus creates a zombie by eating away the frontal lobe of the brain for replication, thus destroying it. The virus mutates the brain and allows the brain to remain alive but dormant and without the need for oxygen. Once the mutation is complete, approximately 23 hours from infection to fully functioning zombie, the ghoul will be on the unending search for living human flesh, thus spreading the infection"

See, the thing with this is that they were never dead, therefore there were nothing to reanimate, therefore they are not a zombie by the definition.

Since we are talking about zombies, it is medical. The medical definition is to restore to life.

Your source does not say that.

It's too bad I couldn't vote for this, but if i could I would vote for Calvin. I don't think either side had a particular good argument, but after tallying the points Calvin came out on top.

Reasons for voting decision: you see, there are different definitions of zombies. technically there could be a so called zombie. For instance, some people consider rabis(i dont know how to spell it) to be a sort of zombie infection. Primitive brain functions copuld take over someones mind. basic instincts like eating kicks in. Anything could happen so you cant rule out zombis just yet

Reasons for voting decision: this was a pretty bad debate.... But the pro had to show that zombies are possible and he cited only a single source about one event that might have happened thousands of years ago as "proof" but it fell far short of meeting his BOP in my opinion.
