I have chose this topic due to many circumstances, I had a few people in my family that have given there children up for adoption either because they were a victim of rape. or financially unstable to carry on the finances of having a child in the family so why not give up the baby for adoption? what happened to those family that cant have children that have good careers and want a child? I mean would it only be right to give up your rights rather then aborting him/her?

I thank both my opponent and the readers for another opportunity.

I am quite perplexed both by the title of this debate and my opponent's response.

The title of this debate states, "adoption?/abortion?." As my opponent has taken Pro for this debate, it is implied that she supports both adoption and abortion. This is quite contradictory in the essence that many people in her specified cases (low financial income, rape, etc.) debate whether they should abort the fetus or give birth and give the child up for adoption. Thus, my opponent has created a debate (in her context) in which she cannot win. However, I will give my opponent the opportunity to clarify.

My opponent's response implies that she prefers one to give a child up for adoption rather than aborting that same "child." My opponent's post does not support why one should avoid abortion and instead give a child up for adoption. She merely states that adoption would allow others to benefit. My opponent's questions are somewhat incoherent. Nonetheless, I shall give my opponent the "floor" to clarify. Thank you.

First off, I would like to thank my opponent for taking on this debate...

Now onto business...

Let me say for the record that on my profile I do state that I am totally against abortion the statement that I was trying to put across is that adoption is a better option rather then having an abortion.
wouldn't you rather have somebody that could care for another human being rather then having one aborting?

To my understanding, it just makes more sense into giving one to live rather then aborting. let me put it in this perspective...... its not the unborn/born child (fetus) that it came into the world its the parents issue and they had a chance to live, so why not let your off spring have a chance to.

I thank my opponent for her response.

"Let me say for the record that on my profile I do state that I am totally against abortion the statement that I was trying to put across is that adoption is a better option rather then having an abortion."
Why would adoption be a better option in comparison to an abortion?

"wouldn't you rather have somebody that could care for another human being rather then having one aborting?"
Personally, I am indifferent to the issue. You have yet to prove or provide evidence as to why one should (implies a moral obligation) choose adoption over abortion.

"To my understanding, it just makes more sense into giving one to live rather then aborting. let me put it in this perspective......"
Why would it make sense to give a live rather than to terminate it before it can begin in the "real world." Outside the cost of the procedure, an abortion would prevent all the future burdens, finances, and time spent on that child.

"its not the unborn/born child (fetus) that it came into the world its the parents issue and they had a chance to live, so why not let your off spring have a chance to."
Why should I let my off spring have a chance to live? You still have provided no evidence to prove your case.

My opponent does not provide coherent argumentation. She does not support her arguments with any reason or facts. I urge a Con vote. Thank you.

I'm a little disappointed that you would compromise your principles to take on some crappy debate against someone you knew you would hammer just for the win. Nonetheless, RFD: Arguments and S/G to CON for obvious reasons.
