I disagree with your premise that anything that separates us is evil. There are various degrees of separation such as physical separation, ideological separation, and spiritual separation. Likewise there are different degrees of evil such as physical evil (the lack of some physical good like health that should be there by nature) and moral evil (a depraved action that harms/destroys love for someone). Love for one's country could be the cause of one separating oneself from that country to go fight in a war but in this case the cause of the separation is not evil so we have already found an exception to your premise. Also, I fail to see how it is that God separates us. I believe that there is one perfect all-loving God that wills everyone to spend eternity with Him. Spiritual and ideological separations with regard to belief in God come as a result of things like ignorance, malice, and personal experience all influencing the decision on where to stand.
