Debate Rounds (3)
only know is true
ok, i just got a new key to my house, that is the truth, but am i telling the truth? did i just get a new key to my house?
1. BoP is on Pro.
I will be telling why belief is not false.
1. False: not real or genuine
2. Belief: Something Believed
All definitions are from Merriam-Webster
You are believing something. You are not sure if it is true, what you are believing, but it is not false. It could happen. There is hope. That is why you are believing on that thing, your belief. Why would you believe something that you know that will not happen. There is hope in your beliefs, and it might be true. There is always a possible, making belief not false, and making it hopeful, and can be true.
2. What is it
What is it? How is believing fake? You are believing, and that is not false. It isn't not real. Why would believing be not real? You are believing it, and as long as you do, it is true in a way.
1. Belief= unknown
This is true. But this is not part of the resolution. Unknown, there is a possibility, you don't know, not making it false.
2. Second sentence
That is an opinion, and a made up thing. My point is not everything is false when yours might be fake. Belief= False, is not true. The resolution should change as belief can be true, or false.
unknown is by default not known, you dont know it.. thats like being a theistic non believer in unicorns
2. true is, not can be.. life is true
logical-master123 forfeited this round.

Reasons for voting decision: Arguments goes to Con because Pro was arguing for the wrong resolution. He was arguing that belief is not known for certain, but the resolution was belief=false. Since Pro failed to argue for the resolution and the BoP was on him, Con wins for arguments. Conduct goes to Pro because Con forfeited the last round. Spelling and grammar goes to Con because Pro didn't use capitalization or punctuation in addition to several misspellings.
