Con

i think birth control is very high in high school they are all too young and they are making the wrong choses and they should really think about there choses because if they have a babie in high school then they have to drop out and then they have to get a crappy job to take care of that babie so there fore there should not be any birth control in high school

Pro

Given Pro's premises, her conclusion comes as a surprise. After pointing out the negative consequences of no birth control, her conclusion turns out to be that "there should not be any birth control in high school."

I think there should be birth control in highschool for all the reasons Pro gave--that having a baby in highschool may force a mother to have to dop out and get a crappy job.

Anybody who has sex and doesn't want a baby should use birth control, whether they are in highschool or not.

Con had bad spelling/grammer. It was basically one long run-on sentance. Also, it seemed as though she didn't realize what she was argueing for. She gave very good points about why we SHOULD have birth control medications for kids in high school, but then she went on to say that birt control is a bad idea. It's like she changed sides. I don't think she understands the meaning of birth control.

That was about the quickest debate I've ever had.

I agree with you, but your arguments are rather weak. The fact that having what you call a "babie" in high school could devastate their lives is more of an argument *for* high schools providing birth control than against.

Also, learn how to spell.

Reasons for voting decision: Con had horrid grammer/spelling as well as switched sides (see comments). However, I wished that Pro had created a longer arguement. He simply said "I agree with her first points... let me use those!" I believe he should have at least restated them and/or gone on to create some of his own points. Also, why is the voting period a year?

Reasons for voting decision: Pro points out that Con inadvertently affirmed the resolution. Spelling and grammar to Pro because Con used very little punctuation and ran on frequently. Arguments and S&G to Pro.

Reasons for voting decision: Can't really work out the debate topic, But I am more inclined to believe Pro won, Although what I am absolutely certain about is, Pro definitely had better S/G. Plus a conduct is awarded to Pro because Con created a 1 round debate, which is just not good.
