I thank my opponent for posting this highly relevant debate. I stand in negation to the proposal 'burger king is better than McDonald'

1. Here, my opponent points out that Burger King 'have better burger'. Presumably, the quality of 'having burger' has some relevance to this debate, but at this time I am unsure what it is. Perhaps my opponent could elaborate in the next round?

If my opponent means 'Burger King have better burgerS, then we're in business. However, he has presented no good reason to think so.

2. I must say, I was totally unaware that Burger King was selling 'buger' or indeed that McDonald was. This could be a matter for the health inspectors. In any case, if they sell it at the same price, that is no reason to choose one over the other.

3. Even granting this unsubstantiated claim, this isn't necessarily a good thing. The bigger the burger, the more fattening it is. There is a huge obesity problem in the developing world today, so bigger burgers are a bad thing, not a good thing.

my opponent say that burger king might be more healthier than McDonald but The newest additions to these fast food menus are McDonald's Chicken Selects Chicken Strips and Burger King's Chicken fries. For a 3 piece Chicken Select from McDonald's, you will consume 380 calories, 20 grams of fat, 28 grams of carbohydrates and 23 grams of protein. For a 6 piece Chicken fry, you will consume 260 calories, 15 grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates and 12 grams of protein.

Pro has pointed out the many fattening foods present in McDonalds. However, there is no reason to think that Burger King is any better. Look at their menu- http://www.burgerking.co.uk... . Clearly full of fattening foods (the salad is just there for show). Plus, that information was taken from the 'supersize me' film, and McDonalds have taken steps to make their food (mildly) healthier since then.

Pro has provided no compelling reason to choose Burger King over McDonalds and has dropped 2/3 of his arguments- vote CON.
