can "info time machines" exist?
tejretics

Con

I accept. The BOP lies *entirely* on Pro to prove, without any doubt, that (1) "real world information" exists, and (2) it can be deduced from geometric calculations. Until these two points are both sufficiently affirmed, you can presume Con. So far, Pro's *only* argument is a link and a question -- the link is to a person's Facebook page, which contains no relevant information regarding this [at least none accessible] to the resolution, and the question about "info time machines" is (1) not an argument, and (2) fails to establish what an "info time machine" *is,* thus isn't relevant to the resolution either. As it stands, Pro has not fulfilled their BoP.

Unfortunately, Pro has forfeited this round. I hope they are alright. For now, I will extend my arguments, and hope that Pro shows up for the next round.

annulus calculation 1: http://i.imgur.com...
annulus calculation 2: http://i.imgur.com...
if you want to recalculate: http://convertxy.com...

both annuli with comments: http://i.imgur.com...

the image shows 2 annulus calculations, and, at bottom, 3 gregorian calendar dates (in 2 versions each).

"numerical names" and the postal code / phone combination should be regarded as proof that the "corresponding" series in the chart which look as if they display calendar dates, really are a display of calendar dates.

how is that coincidence possible (the consistency of the encircled series in the chart with the data next to it)?

Pro doesn't link their argument. All the above argument shows is that *information* can be gained from geometry calculations, not "real world" information. I argue that Pro has failed to establish that "real world information" even exists, or if the world is real.

== Reality of the world ==

Pro fails to account for an ontology of metaphysical solipsism, which suggests that the world isn't real, and is a product of imagination. If solipsism entails, then geometry calculations cannot deduce information of anything that is "real," thus real world information cannot be deduced by means of geometric calculations. As Pro hasn't refuted metaphysical solipsism, presume Con. Pro fails to fulfill their burden of proof.

For the above reasons, vote Con.

sure: the 2 posts on this facebook profile are designed to look as if they were an actual "info time machine".

they take march 2012 (march 2015 respectively) and use a decryption algorithm to come up with data that is supposed to relate to these date ranges.

the data actually seems to denote events that happened at that time (march 2012 / march 2015).
