do you believe in death penalty? I do and I will be arguing that statement. you will need to argue the points against death penalty and stand by your decision. If someone kills someone, that can not be tolerated with. We need to keep death penalty.
first round- acceptance only
second and third round- arguments
fourth and final round- final arguments an closing statements
no vulgarity, swearing and must use works cited.

I accept!
You may now state your opening arguments for the debate. I look forward to taking the Con side, and arguing against the death penalty.
Good luck to my opponent.

Audience;
I would just like to point out that my opponent;
1) Challenged me to this debate. Yes, it was a challenge.
2) Talked of an extra round, that was mistakenly left out of the debate when created
3) Has forfeited a round.

I could understand a forfeit, there are personally matters that can sometimes get in the way. But when you are a challenger, it may be a little uncivil. And also, since there was a mistake when my opponent formed the debate, this forfeit only leaves one round for arguments. The forfeit was not a big deal, but in this instance, under these circumstances, it is a big deal.

Now, I understand some may or may not feel obligated to vote on this debate. I would not like to just go off on my opponent with hundreds of facts and points, when they have yet to even acknowledge this debate, so if you do vote, I ask for the conduct point, for I have dealt with quite a bit of what seems to be misconduct. There will most likely be no sources stated or arguments, for the debate is basically over. So if you do vote, I hope you understand my situation and view on this debate, and award me a conduct point just for going through this.

Thank you all for your understanding. My opponent may or may not acknowledge the next round. They may indeed post something, but until then, I await my opponents response, or non-response.

Sorry that quote should say;
"Second and third"

Um, in the opening argument you (my opponent) mentioned that the
"Third and fourth rounds will be used for arguments"
Yet, there is no fourth round!
Very misleading, this will be a very short debate. Since we used the first round only for acceptance, we will only have one round for arguing, and one for closing.
