first and foremost i think that hippop have a big influence on the youth of today because of all the chaos that's going on right now at this very age. they promote premarital sex, gun violence, drugs, and ect.. majority of teenagers today are listining to this corrupt message and it have a big impact on them. the violence is rissing, teenage pregnancy is rissing and its just getting worser and worser over the years.
It not fair how just over all that all rappers are bad influence. i also hate when people just say hip hop is the real bad influence to kids today. There country, rock and we can not forget scream. Back in the rock age there was a lot of drugs going around. so saying just rap just influence these u got to back then.
i understand your point of view if you want to take it that route. but the messages that are in the music, the kids of today tend to grasp that message and act upon it. for instance they make it seem as if using drugs or having sex is a positive thing, they even go as far as abortion and what is going on with the youth of today that message is being captive into their brain, they become blind and what ever their favorite artist, band or musician, say in their lyrics that's what they tend to do.
First of all I have never heard a rapper or one who is at a high level in his career every say that abortion was a positive thing. Maybe "some" rap artist encourage drug, sex , and murder but you got to look at there point of view. they was born in a terrible neighborhood, sometime their teachers wasn't even able to teach them. so what you think they could possibly do in a situation they are in? they couldn't go to college with the GPA so low. They would go out on the street and sale drug and some women would even sell their body or they can express by using poetry. That is what poetry is expressing yourself. Rappers tell stories about what happen in there life, their child hood, even what happen in their neighborhood. I thinker a rapper who came out that horrible neighbor hood was the lucky ones.
