Why do u believe slavery shouldn't be stopped?
SoupReamDibBayTore

Con

Because there is no reason for it to be stopped.

It being unfair is irrelevant as nothing is fair in life and we ar enot all the same because of variation throughout our species.

Therefore, the statement 'it's not fair we are all the same' is not sufficient to substantiate your view.

well life is not fair agree. But people are human beings and people these days wonder why the world is so bad? But when we have all this going on it seems like no one is stopping anything. We can't stop most things but it's better than saying we didn't try.
SoupReamDibBayTore

Con

I do not think you understand.

Slavery has benefits for those in charge of the slaves as well as the slaves themselves, especially if they are born into it.

The masters get work done for them so they can focus on more intellectual matters like politics and law whilst the slaves have food, water and shelter without any worry in the world other than to do as they are told. If they fail to do this, that is their problem and repercussions are at the discretion of the one feeding and clothing them.

I am not saying I agree with it, I am saying it does not need to be stopped 'period' just because of what you personally believe.

Okay.. but I just don't like thinking people are being beaten... just like when parents abuse their kids .... that's just like slavery but what are the benefits?
SoupReamDibBayTore

Con

Parents are not permitted to abuse children only in nations with children protection Acts in place.

There are nations without such Acts where beating your child and raping them is something that society would turn a blind eye to. Especially if that child is a little disobedient rebel to her all-powerful father. May her skin and his belt have a happy reunion.

There is still no reason to stop it.

Define what you mean by 'stopped'. Do you mean on a government supported basis? Or on a criminal basis?

Reasons for voting decision: Little clash in this debate, but Con wins due to his only use of a source and he defeated Pro's points more.

Reasons for voting decision: While I hope that Con was playing devil's advocate, he controlled this debate and wins the argument points for having unrefuted arguments.
