Dogs should not executed for bad parenting the owners are the ones teaching dogs to bite people so if you are going to execute anyone the government should execute the owners cause when a dog bites someone its just the owner biting someone plus if dogs are being executed for bitten someone execute all puppy's cause the have bitten someone at least once can you imagine that having to execute you puppy that is best freinds with your new child

I disagree and here's why. Without even using the argument that some breeds are prone to violence, the rationale behind putting dogs down that bite people is simply so that they do not do it again. The welfare of the public is more important than that of the dog and therefore if it puts people at risk, let alone children, that risk must be removed.

As owners can't be trusted to safely confine a dog that has bitten someone, it must be put down. Even if it is the fault of the owner for not training the dog properly, the assumption that it could be trained to never bite again is not worth risking either.

In the case of puppies, I think we can of course be more lenient depending on the circumstances. At a younger age a dog can be trained more effectively, using negative reinforcement in the case of a first bite or nip.
