First off, what a nice way of letting out the question (irony alert). Anyhoo, Edward Snowden felt at the time (and he sure as hell feels it now too) that he was doing the right thing by denouncing what he saw as completely disrespectful torwards US citizens' privacy, so that's good enough for me. Being truthful and sincere is one thing this world lacks off and I will always support whoever prefers to act this way, regardless of the consequences for his own self.
Much like a martyr, he is sort of a post-modernish Joan of Arc. Now... I'll hope he doesn't fall onto the same mistake of working on a shadowy governmental op.
