The women of this country have earned the right to be equal to men. There is absolutely no good reason why they shouldn't be allowed to be in the special forces or anything else that is currently "closed" to women in the military. I think men are just afraid that the women are going to take their jobs or they are just scared that they will be out done by women . That's the only good explanation. Is this why men don't want women doing certain jobs in the military?

Hello. I honestly don't have anything against women, but you have to realize that men have much more muscles, and are much better at most physical activity that could give an advantage in the military. And do you not think that that is a good reason? I'm sorry, but the cold hard truth is that men are usually stronger than women. So they wouldn't be "Scared" of them.

Are Guys seriously any Stronger than Women? Physically sometimes, but women can be just as strong and physically fit as guys. Mentally not at all, might be considered even although it has been proven that on average women are more mentally "fit" then men. Emotionally not even close, cant even say that its close to even.

Men simply have a head start in that department thanks to their elevated levels of testosterone.
I'm not saying women can't become stronger than a man period. No, I'm just stating that men are generally the stronger.

ArmySsg good comment and to touch on that a bit more is like to talk about the Marine Corp PFT (physical fitness test) we have to take every year and during promotion boards and such. For males this test consists of how many crunches you can do in 2 minutes, how many pull-ups you can do in one session, and how fast you can run 3 miles. For men the minimum requirements are 3 pull-ups, 50 crunches, and 28:00 run time. For females however it's a tad different. Heck they don't even do pull-ups. All they have to do is hang from the bar for as long as they can (flex arm hang). Their minimum requirements are 15 seconds on the flex arm hang, 50 crunches, and 31:00 run time. This is for 18-26 year olds by the way. So obviously you can look at this direct PROOF and INDISPUTABLY see for yourself that females are not on par with the males in the military. Now of course every now and then you get one of those amazon women that can kick anyone's arse, I know one personally, but they are very very far and few between and you can't say they all should get this free pass just cause a fee of them can do some cool crap. And besides this isn't even the only reason they shouldn't be allowed and I don't even think it's really the main one anyway. The fact is there are tons, TONS, of reasons why this is a bad idea. And it's only being done for this retarded political correct ideology our country has now anyway.

No women should NOT be allowed in Combat Arms/ SF or any other combat enviroment. Previous comments have explained some reasons so im not gonna repeat. First place to start if your going to try implement women in these roles is make Army or military APFT (physical test) the same for both sex the same across the board. No different run times, push-ups ect. If everyone wants equality lets go 100% , not just where it benefits.

Pro I'm sorry but please, take it from someone who's in the FING military and not some stupid civie with no fing clue. Women in a combat role is a TERRIBLE FING IDEA! They are equal everywhere else, but leave that part alone. And the only women who want women to be able to be in combat MOS's aren't even in the military. When the people you are "fighting" for don't even want the thing your "fighting" for them, it tells you something you should pay attention to. Just look up how many women have tried out for the OCS infantry course.

Without telling the whole story. In a secondary leadership school in the army a body building female sergeant said she could do anything any male soldier could do. Another Sgt volunteered to be carried as a wounded soldier a football field length. The male soldier carried the male at a full sprint the whole length. The female however carrying this same male soldier collapsed at the 40 yard line!!!! So, NO.. Females should not be allowed in combat arms...

Yes, men may be stronger. But Asians have also been proven to be better at math. Should we exclude non-Asians from doing rigorous mathematics due solely to their race, and should we deny that non-Asian people can ever excel at math because they're not Asian?

Some women can be rather strong. A man who is weak wouldn't be given a free pass for being "the stronger sex," so I don't believe strong females should be excluded simply for not being male.

Conclusion? Entrance to the military should be determined by ability, not sex. Such factors may not always correlate the way they're expected to.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct goes to Con for Pros forfeits. Spelling/grammer, and sources are tied. Arguments go to Con once again for pros forfeits and also because what arguments were made was far better. I especially distasteful Pros assertion that men didn't let women do combat roles because men were scared we'd "be out done and lose our jobs to women". Are you serious?
