Its impossibe for a person to accept his ex- lovr as friend

Con

Sometimes relationships ends after a long period together, so the couple is also very very good friends.
It is sometimes harder to not only give away your love but also give away your best friend.

ha ha ... yes i agree couples are also like friends , but it is impossible for a lover act as a friend to him/her since they fell in love again... u shd ve experienced right???

Con

And what if you had a short relationship, and you broke up because you found out there's nothing there, emotionally, but you happen to like this person, as a friend?
Sure, you used to be lovers, but... maybe only sexually, and without a real emotional connection... In this case, why lose the friendship?

Besides, even if there was an emotional connection, after a while, you normally lose this connection, and have a new relationship, which might better. your ex should also go through the same, than why not stay friends?

I don't think it works all the time (I really have been in this kind of situation. Twice. I also know other people who remain friends with their ex for a long while after the relationship is over, and it works just fine for them)

lol... the debate going gooood and fun . but one thing sure that is if ex lover became friend then they are maintaining secret relationship between them... suppose it is possible for the to take their relationship between them is friends means then they didnt ve a true love... otherwise i called it as flirt not love ....
AmIRight

Con

It might be one of the following:
1. It has been a long while since they've been together, so all of the feelings are pretty much gone
2. It wasn't real, as you said

Either way, even though it's not too common to actually remain friend with your ex, it's not impossible.

I think you want to re-word your 1st round argument. It is obviously possible. Whether it is realistic might be a fun debate, but chances are that someone will come along and play semantics the way it is now.

Reasons for voting decision: Neither side made any convincing arguments. This seemed more like a typical conversation, rather than a debate. But grammar and spelling goes to Con.

Reasons for voting decision: Con Stated the obvious, The debate begins with Pro saying it's impossible, and it ends with Con stating, it's not impossible. Fair rebuttal I think and won it for me.
