I believe that gun bans are bad and unconstitutional.

The topic of this debate needs clarification. As it stands right now, it looks like the debate is over whether you believe gun bans are bad and unconstitutional. Since I do not know you well enough to debate what you believe, I will focus on what it is that you believe " that gun bans are bad and unconstitutional. This is an absolute statement, so I am actually debating the following statement:
Gun bans are always bad because they are always unconstitutional.
I can unravel your argument with one statement:
Convicted felons and the criminally insane are not allowed to own or be in possession of firearms. This is neither bad not unconstitutional.
The 1994 Supreme Court Case of Beecham v. US held that convicted felons are not to possess firearms.
So, there is at least one situation where gun bans are not bad or unconstitutional, thereby making your statement false.

Even now you can't just go buy a gun without lots of paperwork (at least in my state) so were not just giving guns away to criminals.

It is your constitutional right after all.

Harvard study shows that countries with gun ban have higher crime.
Russia has 4 times the crime as USA and has very strict gun control.
Norway,Finland,Germany, and France have low murder rates and less gun control.
Luxembourg has a total handgun ban and has 9 times the murder rate of Germany.

In conclusion not only do guns save lives, but it is your constitutional right.

'Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence...from the hour the pilgrims landed to present day, events, occurrences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable...the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil. ----- George Washington
First President of the United States of America

Just in case Kaynex has been out of the country for awhile, most crazy rednecks already have guns. Many non-violent felons are so because they had poor and/or overworked representation in court. There are also many individuals who should be felons, but were able to plea bargain due to having decent court representation. These are the people to be concerned about, not the felon that got busted 20 years ago with a pound of pot, so now he can never vote or carry a firearm, after fulfilling their sentence.

2Party, it doesn't make me feel great when we're passing guns off to felons, OR crazy rednecks. I don't believe either of them should have them.

I would argue that felons should be able own a firearm, especially in non-violent felonious convictions. A non-violent felon should be afforded the right to protection, just like the crazy redneck that hasn't yet been convicted.

Of course bans on fully automatic weapons, RPG's, and tanks are legal and justified. Just like the limits placed your first amendment right to speech. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater, if there's no fire.
