if have stricter gun control then we run the risk of increasing gun violence.
we have the right to bear arms according to the second amendment.
if your house was robed you should have the right to defend you and your family and a kitchen knife wont do much. people also use guns to hunt which keeps the deer and other animal populations down. so if we have stricter gun control laws then we could increase gun violence but other animals population would go up and it could hurt the environment

If gun control was stricker than it is now accidents wouldn't happen in the first place and then you wouldn't need to protect yourself you would be completely safe because then people would not be able to have guns without licenses and that would be enforced.

Gamestar, you really think criminals are going to listen to the new laws? Wow. Criminals don't listen to laws, it's what they do. Even if you make owning guns illegal, people will still be able to have guns through the black market and under the counter. Also, there are way too many guns in the United States to effectively take them all away.

Given instances like the Soviet Union, Ukraine, and various attacks in Europe, it is quite clear that a motivated individual will turn to quite... creative means of killing in the absence of firearms, be it knives, a vehicle, explosives, or blunt trauma. Removing guns is not the same as removing violent crime, and even if we were to increase the severity of gun control laws, its not out of the realm of possibility that would be criminals could obtain assault weapons and sidearms from black markets and other means of the sort.
