Using this round for acceptance.

I'll be arguing that firearms on school grounds would be in violation of public relations and the safety of students.

In regards to Con:
"we have a school paper and we need opinions on should guns be aloud on school grounds please comment your [opinion]"

I don't believe you understand how this works. You have created a debate topic. If you did not intend to complete a debate, there is an 'Opinions' area dedicated to things such as these (http://www.debate.org...) ...

In the meantime, I'll continue with providing my argument:
(ref: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com...)
"Public Relations
The professional maintenance of a favourable public image by a company or other organization or a famous person."

(ref:
http://www.oxforddictionaries.com...)
"Safety
The condition of being protected from or unlikely to cause danger, risk, or injury"

(ref:

"A weapon incorporating a tube from which bullets [...] are propelled [...] for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage"

The presence of weaponry in a public, federal facility threatens the safety of students (even when no immediate threat is observable). The weight carried with their presence can violate a student's sense of safety and inherently concern the guardians and/or associations of these students. If this weaponry is mismanaged, it can also fall into the wrong hands and threaten the facility and its surrounding area.

A resolution to any sense of inadequate security would be the enlisting of the local police department to monitor arrivals and departures (and potentially perimeter enforcement if a reliable threat is identified). The hiring of a daytime patrol (or some form of hallway administration) to identify unusual behaviours amongst the facility in-between and during classes is also recommended.

They should indeed. Guns save more lives than they do harm. Over 200,00 women Annually used a gun in self defense to stop from sexual abusers. Guns used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year or about 6,850 times a day. This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives. Notice how all these tragic shootings happen in places where guns aren't allowed. I can't remember the last time i saw a shooting like that in a gun store or places where a the citizens are actually armed.
